That's right, Red Dead Online is getting a new legendary animal, and all of the perks that come along with it. The scavenging predator is roaming around near Blackwater and is open to Hunters and Naturalists who are interested in seeing this new legendary beast.

There are also other additions this week for anyone who logs onto Red Dead Online. You can get double the usual cash, gold, and XP if you play any of the Hardcore Shootout Series games. If you're more interested in clothing, there are three new options in the catalogue to check out, and moonshiners are getting discounts for their operations. But of course, the big news is the big prey.

Rockstar made the announcements on their newswire, stating that Harriet will be giving out this sighting mission to Naturalists level 5 and above. Be warned, this legendary animal may be travelling in packs, so you're going to want to make sure you keep your distance. That is, if you have any sense, you'll keep your distance. Complete the mission and you'll get 40% off any Novice or Promising Naturalist items. Sampling the coyote's blood will get you 40% off any Distinguished or higher role item.

If you decide to shoot and kill the coyote, you can bring the pelt to Gus at the trapper store and he will provide you with a one-of-a-kind coat to wear on your future adventures. If you decide to leave the coyote alive, but still want some new clothes, you can pick up two new hats and a jacket from Wheeler, Rawson & Co. among other new additions. If you'd rather work than spend time tracking down an animal, you can move your moonshine shack for free this week. Plus, if you're a new bootlegger, you'll get 5 gold bars off of the cost of your 'shine shack and a 40% discount on Novice and Promising Moonshiner items—oh, and 3 gold bars off of Moonshiner bar themes.

There is a lot going on in the world of Red Dead Online, so if it's been a while since you've logged on, this is the week to do it. Legendary animals are always fun to track down and the rewards for this one make it all the more enticing.
