Rockstar has just released an update for the Red Dead Online Beta, which includes some new features and a few changes. The update comes with new clothing, as well as a new Showdown Mode, called "Plunder," which pits players against each other in a bid to gather, or steal, the most supplies. There are also some temporary changes to existing clothing requirements and some ranking changes for horses and pamphlets.

In the new Plunder mode, frontier resources are in short supply, so players must work together to gather, or plunder supplies. Up to 16 players form two teams who must battle it out in a bid for supremacy. Players can capture supplies from a central location and bring them back to their base, or plunder them from their rival’s base. However, be wary. While holding supplies you'll be visible to all other players, leaving you vulnerable to attack.

Keeping your Health, Stamina, and Dead Eye cores filled will serve you well, as you work together with your team to gather and keep those much-needed supplies.

Alongside the new Showdown Mode, there are also three new clothing items, including the Owanjila Hat, Porter Jacket, and Concho Pants.

As an extra bonus, access for all coats, holsters, boots, and gloves up to rank 40 will be available to all players for a limited time only. If you want to look stylish while you plunder, now is the time to grab that clothing before the offer expires on April 15th.

For any higher ranking players, there are also some changes to the ranks of horses. The Turkoman, Missouri Fox Trotter, and Arabian horses are all being lowered to Rank 40. Meanwhile, Volatile Dynamite, Incendiary Buckshot, Explosive Slug, Express Explosive, and Dynamite Arrow pamphlets are all lowered to Rank 60.

Red Dead Online is the multiplayer element of Red Dead Redemption 2. It’s currently in public beta, which began in November 2018, and is available to all Red Dead Redemption 2 owners. Progression in the single-player story mode does not affect the multiplayer game.

Red Dead Redemption 2 was released in October 2018 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The new update, which features the Plunder Showdown mode, is now available for download.
