Rockstar and Red Dead Redemption 2 are back at it again with another realistic mechanic that adds even more depth to the game. It seems that players are always finding out new things about Red Dead Redemption 2. It's a game that has an incredible amount of depth and attention to detail on a scale not really seen in video games before.

Thanks to a Reddit user, another brutal mechanic has been discovered for the game. You can drown people in Red Dead Redemption 2 by choking them with water. In the clip show, you tackle a guy and then force his head underwater. After a few moments the man drowns. It's hardcore as the guy struggles with his head under, but this is the land of outlaws and if you can't handle it, you better get going.

Reddit user - kaycee1992 - sums the drowning up perfectly. "I thought hog tying somebody and throwing them in the river was cruel, this is a whole new level of visceral brutality. Rockstar never backs down with their violence." A lot of responses are directed at the brutality of the murder.

Rockstar is never shy with their inclusion of violence in video games. The GTA and Red Dead Redemption franchises don't stray from violence. They include it and make it prevalent throughout the game. In doing this, Rockstar is able to fully realize the stories they are trying to tell. The game company typically delves into more mature themes and violence is definitely one they explore in depth.

Red Dead Redemption 2 set a standard for open-world games. It featured some of the most in-depth mechanics ever seen in a video game and as players continue to explore the massive world of the game, they keep finding new things previously undiscovered about the game. The level of detail in Red Dead Redemption 2 is a main component of Rockstar and the franchise's ability to set itself apart in the gaming industry.

The fact that they aren't afraid to portray violence to add to the realism and depth in their games, is a testament to their confidence in their story-telling and ability to make a game fans would enjoy. I'm sure Red Dead Redemption 2 will continue to have little nuances discovered for years to come, but until then, you can drown someone in water if you like.
