Rockstar's Wild West immersive sim, Red Dead Redemption 2, is about as real as triple-A games come. From wild animals hunting each other to hilarious life-ending mishaps on the road, it's packed with detail. Unfortunately, this includes dying if you slip and take a tumble off a cliff. Fortunately, a glitch has been found that lets dear old Arthur Morgan survive any fall.

As we all know, gravity wasn't yet known about by laypeople in 1899, so if you didn't believe in it or notice it, it couldn't hurt you. You can use this to your advantage by having Arthur consume a poisonous cattail moments before a planned drop to turn certain death into a handy shortcut.

But how exactly does it work? Well, as shown in the video below, when Arthur consumes the poisonous plant, he begins to vomit. This animation supersedes all else, such is his need to throw up. This means, that if you position yourself on a ledge just as he starts to puke, the animation will play and he'll step forward, drop, and land unscathed.

What's also great about this is how his puke seems to come straight out the back of his head, as he falls into it faster than it can fall itself, making it look like he's throwing up from some secret rear mouth. What a horrible thought.

Abusing animation invicibilities is nothing new in video games, but players are always finding new ways to take advantage of them. Red Dead Redemption 2 is a rather slow game, one where you're meant to enjoy taking your time. So, if you don't, use this to get down from high places speedily.

In Red Dead Online news, Rockstar recently announced that the game won't be getting any more "major themed content updates" as the company pivots resources to the development of GTA 6.

It seems even animals and NPCs got the memo, as a new PC bug has left the game's lands completely deserted for some players. It's spooky, turning the world into a real ghost town.
