Red Dead Redemption 2 is an impressive piece of media, although there are many people who can't experience it for, thanks to it being a game. That's why one player has decided to turn the game's main story into a book to share with their father.

Redditor WankStain615 (classy name) showed off his efforts of adapting Red Dead Redemption 2 into an unofficial written tale to make it easier to approach for his parent. The beginner writer shared the first pages of his creation on behalf of John Marston, the protagonist of the first game. In his book, he sees the story as Marston's internal monologue, which means you probably should read it in John's iconic voice, too.

According to the player, he always wanted his dad to learn more about Rockstar's acclaimed game and even helped him to play it. Yet due to the somewhat complicated controls, it was difficult for his parent to carry on. He also noted that his father doesn't play any other video games outside of the LEGO series.

The subreddit seems to be satisfied with the way the first pages have come out, praising the author's idea. Several people have claimed that they can't wait to read more of it and hope that the rest of the unofficial Red Dead Redemption 2 book will appear on the web as well, with one person calling it, "The book I need but never knew I did". Another Redditor said, "I saw the original post and was sceptical, but this is pretty engaging".

In any case, let's wish the author patience in this unusual quest, as it'll take a long time to novelize the entire story (RDR2's script alone is well over 2,000 pages) of this mammoth game - that's if Rockstar's lawyers don't just bury the whole thing ahead of its time. If you're still sad for the game's touching finale — modders have already given Arthur Morgan the ending he truly deserved.
