What is it with Rockstar and Red Dead on PC? Everyone with even a half-decent gaming PC wants to load up some digital cowboys on their system so they can hunt rabbits in the highest resolution possible. However, as with the original Red Dead Redemption, we have yet to hear a peep from Rockstar on the status of a Red Dead Redemption 2 PC port.

Recently, there have been some signs that maybe, just maybe, a PC announcement could be on the way. There's some new evidence that points to the existence of a port for Red Dead 2, and if true, everyone may finally get to see John Marston's face running on their fancy graphics cards.

The Australian Classification Board recently rated Red Dead Redemption 2, giving it an MA 15+ rating as of August 20, 2019. Usually, that wouldn't seem suspicious, except that this game came out last October. It's not common to give games a specific rating so long after their initial release date, which has instantly revved up the PC port rumor mill.

Many are now speculating that this rating is for the PC version of Red Dead, which possibly means that Rockstar is going to be making an announcement sometime shortly. With the Christmas season on the way, a Red Dead Redemption 2 PC port could undoubtedly be an item that many gamers would put on their shopping list.

There's also the recent creation of the Rockstar launcher. While it may seem like just another addition to the ever-growing list of superfluous game launchers, it might be a herald of the upcoming Red Dead PC arrival. After all, making a random launcher is kind of pointless without some kind of killer app, and Red Dead Redemption 2 would certainly be a solid reason for everyone to download the program immediately.

Eventually, Rockstar has to give players the PC cowboy utopia they've been begging for. Seeing what PC modders have done with GTA V only makes us more curious about what they can make using RDR2, and even without mods, it'll look amazing running on the beefiest gaming rigs. Here's hoping that this evidence is truly a sign that all computers will soon be graced with the wild west wisdom of Arthur Morgan.
