Arkane Studios is a master at world design. It fills each nook and cranny of its maps with immaculate detail. This is evident in each of its games, but never more so than Redfall, Arkane's largest and most ambitious map. Redfall’s huge map is filled with details, and these details are all around you, waiting to be found.

That said, there are a lot of things that the developers choose to hide in the game, leaving you to hunt them down on your own. Experts dedicatedly scour the map for these precious easter eggs, secrets and hidden things. However, these nine things went completely unnoticed by everyone in Redfall.

9 The 0451 Gag

Redfall: Bellwether Order 0451

The 0451 gag has been a running joke in the world of Arkane Studios’ games as a callback to the progenitor of the immersive sim genre, System Shock. This code is always going to be there, as long as you have locked doors or safes to unlock in Arkane’s games. Redfall is no exception to this formula, and honestly, most people have missed out on this incredibly minute detail.

In Redfall, it is located at the Supper Club next a dead body across some red mist. This time around, though, it’s not a code to a safe or locked door, just a readable document. It’s a tip on how to clear the red mist.

8 Dev’s Lobster Ride

Redfall: Devinder With His Lobster Ride

The lobster ride may not look like much at first glance, but did you notice that it looked a little familiar? Well, this is that same lobster ride that Devinder bumped into back in the official announcement trailer for Redfall.

He had his phone out and he was making the documentary feature, and he stubbed his knee on it, alerting the cultists and their overlords to their location. While that mistake certainly wasn’t very helpful, it was great to see the lobster ride make it into the final build of the game!

7 Scarey McScareface

Redfall: Scarey McScareface Scarecrow

This is in reference to the infamous Boaty McBoatface incident, as well as Prey, in which you can find Mr. Glooey McGlooface. He has the same note that states ‘Hello, my name is Glooey McGlooface.’ In Redfall’s version of this gag, you can find a scarecrow by the name of Mr. Scarey McScareface.

This time around, there’s more to read on the note pasted on his chest. He introduces himself as Scarey McScareface, but the note also mentions that he will scare you with his face, along how dangerous the world of Redfall is.

6 Famous Food Brands

Redfall: Collage Of Different Food Products

The parody of famous food brands is a staple in the absurd video game comedy, and by this point it’s been done in so many games already. Redfall brings its own twist to this standard procedure, and if you have a sharp eye, you might notice some of these!

You can find the Sunny C drink in almost every kitchen in Redfall, which is a spin on the popular Sunny D. FunDa is a cute spin on the popular soft drink named Fanta. Finally, there’s Froot Scoops, which are a play on Froot Loops.

5 Wolfenstein On A PC

Redfall: Wolfenstein Game Installed On a Computer

There are some working computers located across the Redfall map. The Hollow Man made sure that all computers were busted or inaccessible, but those that work are hiding one of the most fun little details in the game. It’s a nod to none other than Bethesda’s classic shooter game, Wolfenstein.

If you have a scoped weapon, you can zoom into the computer screen enough to see that one of the icons belongs to a Wolfenstein game. It’s unclear which one it is, but it’s probably one of the new ones because that logo looks as fresh as you remember it.

4 The Prey Brew

Redfall: Green Bettle Gin Bottle

If there is one thing everyone remembers from Prey, it’s got to be the bottles of Gin that you can find essentially everywhere on the Talos One Space Station. It was seen everywhere to the extent of becoming a meme, and now, that meme perseveres through Redfall.

Located in the Shadetree Heights Safehouse, you can see it on a table next to a canvas. This is the exact bottle of Gin from Prey, from the shape to the moth graphic plastered on it. If you’ve been a fan of Arkane Austin’s original horror masterpiece, this almost unnoticeable nod will make you nostalgic.

3 The Gnome Stake

Redfall: Gnome Stake On Assault Rifle

There are a lot of cute and adorable cosmetics in Redfall, but the Gnome Stake is by far the cutest one you’ll find. It’s also one of the hardest Stake customizations to find, hidden almost in plain sight. It’s the kind of hidden, where you either run into it while exploring or never find it.

This cosmetic is adorable, with the Gnome’s hat being the pointy end of the Stake. Its cute attire looks fantastic on any weapon you equip it on, as it adds an explosion of color onto the weaponry.

2 The Dishonored Universe?

The Undine Boat Compared In Redfall vs Dishonored Game DLC

Redfall might be part of the Dishonored universe, and we’re not pulling this out of a hat like a mystery. The game features several different nods to Dishonored, from a unique amount of easter eggs, wall art and even some of the game mechanics. However, the most obvious way is to look at the environment and find some of the things that you know from Dishonored just existing.

You will most likely miss these unless you focus on doing some of the optional quests while keeping an eye out for them. Whale Oil, which was used as a source of power in Dishonored, along with the containers called Whale Tanks makes an appearance. Valenti Jellied Eels are quite a popular food source in Dishonored, and the light bulbs at the Heritage Rock Lighthouse looking the same as they do in Dishonored.

1 The Dark Souls Bonfire

Collage of The Dark Souls Bonfire in Assassins Creed, Battlefield and Redfall

This was by far the easiest thing to miss, and the hardest thing to run into in Redfall. This little nod to the Dark Souls series by FromSoftware was a genius move on Arkane’s part. These can be identified as Vampire Remains, but they look almost exactly like the bonfires from Dark Souls games. They also contain a little reward of in-game currency for you to find.

Located at Shattered Heights, if you head towards it, you can clearly see how much it looks like the Bonfire. It’s got a slightly tilted sword sticking out, dug deep in the ash so it’s standing upright. It’s also got a tiny glow of its own, along with particles emanating from it. It’s always exciting to see developers show each other some love.
