Redfall is Arkane Austin’s latest game, and if there's one thing that every one of its titles has gotten a ton of love over, it’s the weird peculiarities that it adds to every video game it creates. Fortunately, Redfall is no exception to this style. Arkane has brought its signature enigmatic game design back in force.

Redfall has a lot of things that you only find out about after playing it for a while. Knowing these can basically increase your chances of having a much better time in the game from the very onset. So, here are some things that only pro players know you can do in Redfall.

10 No Stamina Bar Means Unlimited Sprinting

Redfall: Remi's Robot Buddy Bribon

Redfall doesn’t have a stamina bar, just like Deathloop, so you can essentially run forever. This means that you will basically never get overwhelmed in a gunfight outdoors, you can just make a break for it. There’s barely a situation where you can’t run away from your enemies, especially if they’re cultists or mercenaries.

You can also use the unlimited stamina to your advantage in other ways. You can circle around your enemies, be a constantly moving target, or simply run toward them from far away. The options are limitless to how you use it, and it also makes moving around the significantly sized map much easier.

9 Jump Over the Red Mist

Redfall: Redmist Roadblock

It’s weird that not many players know this, but there is a way to avoid getting damaged by the red mist. You simply have to jump over it. That’s all there is to it. If an enemy throws the red mist bombs at you, or if you run into a red mist roadblock while exploring, you can simply jump over and cross it.

At times, you can even spam the jump button to bunny-hop over it. Although that is a bit less effective, it is still viable when you time it correctly.

8 Car Bombs

Redfall: Blowing Up Cars

Cars can explode in Redfall, even if they don’t have any animations to them, so they can still be quite helpful in a pinch. You see, you can almost always find enemies ducking behind cars for cover in Redfall.

These guys are not very smart, because it takes around five bullets to blow a car up, depending on your weapon. If you ever find yourself getting caught in a gunfight in the middle of the Redfall streets, you know for sure that some cars need you to blow them up for extra damage.

7 Avoid Damage By Staking the Vampires

Redfall: Option To Stake Vampire

There are always similar video games where you can exploit a feature or two to make yourself essentially invincible for a moment. Sure enough, you can do this in Redfall too. Once you damage a Vampire enough, and it staggers, you can stake it to kill it permanently.

However, you can let the vampire stay staggered, until you start getting attacked. This will allow you to lock your character into the staking animation and use it to avoid damage. Yep, your character somehow becomes invincible once they are in the staking animation.

6 Use A Flare Gun To Trap Them All

Redfall: Flare Gun Weapon

Flare Guns are usually not very good weapons in games, but in Redfall, you can use them as a distraction. Anytime you shoot your flare gun, it will attract human enemies toward the flare’s location as it fizzes out on the ground.

If you think that would lead them to you, it doesn’t. They won't come investigating the person who shot it, this daft AI just walks towards the flare as it fizzes out, and stares at it. Use this to lure human enemies towards cars, oil puddles or any other trap you see around you.

5 Get the High Tier Weapons Later

Redfall: Grave Mistake Weapon Stats

In Redfall, each weapon is locked to your character’s level, and you can’t upgrade them by playing, all you can do is add and remove attachments. So, if you decide to go for the high-tier loot early in the game, they will become kind of useless.

Make sure to pursue the high-tier loot when you’re near the end of the first area and focus on unlocking them at as high of a level as possible. Make sure to get them before leaving the first area though, because you won’t be able to come back once you’re on the second map.

4 Lockpicks and Rewire Kits

Redfall: Lockpick And Rewire Kit

Lockpicks and Rewrite Kits are your bread and butter in Redfall. No matter how little you explore the game world, there will never come a time when these are useless additions to your inventory, especially during side quests.

There will always be a locked door, something to hack or something to unlock, and you need these tools on your person to gain access. So, make sure that you always have a lock pick and a rewire kit handy. Trust in process, because these will save you a lot of time from backtracking and bringing them back to the location where you want to use them.

3 Devinder is the Real Sniper

Redfall Devinder Readies Up

Most people think that Jacob should be the primary sniper character in the game, because he can hit people through walls and he can become invisible. Not to mention, every single trailer shows him as the sniper. However, Devinder is the main sniper character.

Thanks to his Translocation device, Devinder can reach places in Redfall that no other character can. This gives every player the ability to find high vantage points to snipe perfectly from. Unless you’re going to run around and quick scope people in Redfall, you need Devinder for the best sniping experience.

2 Circle Strafing Causes AI Issues

Circle strafing is a technique unique to Redfall, at least it's the only game where it's viable. In circle strafing, you need to circle around the enemy while shooting at them. In other games, this usually wouldn't matter as the enemy can simply turn around and shoot you. However, the Redfall AI simply breaks down if you do this.

You can use this technique with almost every enemy in the game, aside from some bosses. It does not matter if the enemy is human or vampire, even the mini-bosses are susceptible to this technique. Keep messing with their heads, and you'll find yourself breezing through the game.

1 Instant Kill Every Vampire with the Medusa

Redfall: Medusa Weapon

The Medusa is Redfall’s version of the Laser Gun. This UV Weapon doesn't function the same way as regular laser weapons, but it is just so effective at killing vampire enemies in game. This gun is used to petrify Vampire enemies, which essentially turns them to stone. This makes them susceptible to shattering, which means you can one shot almost any vampire enemy with this weapon.

All you have to do is aim and shoot the Medusa’s UV rays at your vampire enemies, turn them into a statue and melee them till they disintegrate into shards of glass. It’s a simple method, but it requires a broken gun, one that you should find as soon as you get in game.
