Rumours have been floating around for a while, but now it’s official: Omen is real, except it's actually going to be called Redfall. Redfall is a vampire-themed immersive shooter, and is set to come to Xbox and PC at some point in 2022. It will also be available day one on Xbox Game Pass.

For a reveal trailer, it was surprisingly long. The four-minute cinematic introduced us to a team of survivors, taking out vampires as they roam the night.

Redfall is an open-world co-op shooter, which can be played in either single-player or with up to three friends. Set in the titular town of Redfall, you take on vampires who have blocked off the sun.

Redfall will be Arkane Studio’s next big project after the highly anticipated Deathloop releases this September. The studio doesn’t have any shortage of goodwill going into Redfall’s development either, having been responsible for the critically acclaimed Dishonored series, as well as 2017’s Prey.

Arkane Studios was acquired by Bethesda's parent company, ZeniMax Media, in 2010 during the development of the first Dishonoured.

Redfall closed an already jam-packed showcase, in which we got our first good look at the long-awaited Starfield, as well as two new Fallout 76 expansions. Overall, it was a good showcase for Xbox owners, as many of the titles revealed will also be exclusives.
