The Labyrinth Armor Set in Remnant: From the Ashes is one of the most popular armor sets in the game, and for good reason, it’s incredibly good for classes and builds that are dependant on Weapon Mods.

Plus, it has all these glowy bits that make it memorable, and the "alternate" skin you can get in exchange for Glowing Fragments is neat as well. But, how does one go about getting it? Well, we've got you covered.

Updated October 6, 2021, by Jacob Buchalter: With how frequently Remnant: From The Ashes seems to pop up either on sale, as part of Xbox Game Pass, or as a free game on a variety of other services, the title is constantly getting little bursts of new players every now and then. And, when new players jump into Remnant for the first time, they'll quickly see that this game is a lot more than both its marketing and reputation make it seem.

And, one of the largest aspects of this deceptively replayable game is the need to collect all the Weapons, Accessories, and Armor Sets the game has to offer and experiment with builds. So, let's once again go over how to get one of the most sought-after Armor Sets in the game, the Labyrinth Set.

First Off, You Need The DLC

Remnant From The Ashes - Swamps Of Corsus DLC Splash Art

First and foremost, you'll need the Swamps of Corsus DLC in order to get this Armor Set, which is a bit of a shame. The interaction with the Iskal Queen in her throne room is part of one of the many new Random Events they added with this DLC.

Technically you could still obtain the set if a player joined your game and sold it to Ace, but you won't be able to actually "equip" it unless you have this DLC purchased and installed.

There's An Odd Pre-Requisite

Remnant From The Ashes - Talking To The Iskal Queen To Give Her The Guardian Heart

The first step towards getting this armor set involves giving the Guardian Heart from Ixiliis (the mysterious moth-like creature) to the Iskal Queen. You can either give the heart to her or the Undying King once per campaign, so if you've already given it to the ruler of Rhom, you'll have to re-roll your campaign again (or just blitz through the story) and make sure to give it to her this time.

As a reward, she'll give you the Crossbow as well as the Slayer Set, so that's a nice little bonus. Then, once you gave it to her, the pre-requisite is completed, and you should hop into Adventure Mode to look for her again there (in Corsus, of course).

Find Her Again And Get The Cryptolith Sigil

Remnant From The Ashes - Obtaining The Cryptolith Sigil From The Iskal Queen In The Swamps Of Corsus DLC

Once you’re at the Adventure Mode step, either in the post-game or after you've put your Campaign on hold, you'll need to keep exploring Corsus and re-rolling it until you find the Iskal Sanctum location. Luckily, it pops up a bunch, as the encounter with the Iskal Queen was one of the main selling points of this DLC. But, if you’re having trouble finding it, it looks like a tall rudimentary "castle" made from mud that you'll be able to see from afar.

Once you find it, simply walk up to the queen, talk to her, and she'll give you the Cryptolith Sigil as a reward for the Guardian Heart from before. But, as she says, her Sanctum is only for those who are part of the Iskal, so do not come back in this Sanctum to talk to her again unless you're ready to fight the Queen (or work with her using a special workaround).

Find The Cryptolith And Use The Sigil On It Three Separate Times

Remnant From The Ashes - Looking Up At A Fully Completed Cryptolith In Corsus

Once you have the Sigil, it's time to really start re-rolling Corsus, as the re-rolls up to now will seem like nothing in comparison. Basically, you'll want to fully explore each re-roll of the swampy Realm, looking for this tall stone tower (seen above).

It will always be found in an outdoor area, so that should narrow it down a bit. Once you find it, simply walk up and interact with it. Your character will pull out the Cryptolith Sigil and hold it up to the Cryptolith. But in order to get the Labyrinth Set, you'll need to find and activate this tower three separate times, and each time the next “rune” on the Cryptolith should light up. Not exactly one of Remnant's hardest puzzles, but still pretty involved. Thankfully, for each "activation" you'll get a different reward:

  • For the first time, you'll get the Concentration Trait.
  • The second time gets you the Blood Bond Trait.
  • And the third time nets you 25 Glowing Fragments.

In addition to the Glowing Fragments, the third time will also turn on a nearby teleporter — walk over and use this fantastical device to move on to the next step.

Go Into The Labyrinth And Find The Individual Armor Pieces

Remnant From The Ashes - Using The Teleporting After Activating The Cryptolith Three Times

Once you take the teleporter, you'll find yourself in a very dilapidated version of what seems to be the Labyrinth. As the name would suggest, this is obviously where the Labyrinth Set is found. Spread throughout this relatively small area are the three separate pieces of the set, two to the sides, and one found below.

Labyrinth Chestpiece Location

Remnant From The Ashes - Walking Up To The Labyrinth Chest Piece

There's no real difficulty here, all you have to do is follow the pathway being generated before you, making sure not to accidentally walk off at any point.

Follow this pathway all the way around and you should easily be able to find the body piece.

Labyrinth Leg Armor Location

Remnant From The Ashes - Walking Up To The Labyrinth Leg Pieces

Next come the legs, which are pretty much on the opposite side of the area from the body.

Just keep walking around, checking the edges often to make sure you're not missing an alternate path, and you should come right up to it.

The Well-Hidden Labyrinth Helmet

Remnant From The Ashes - Highlighting Where The Drop Off Is To Find The Labyrinth Helmet

Now for the final piece, the Helmet, which is by far the hardest find. You might have seen where the Helmet is while walking around, as there's a large hole in the lower wall of the platform with the teleporter and checkpoint where it can be easily seen.

To get the Helmet, all you need to do is walk over to this exit from the main hub where no path is "automatically" built. Then, carefully, walk off the edge of this side. You should fall for maybe ten feet, then a platform should catch you. Turn around, and the helmet should be right there in front of you.

But, Why Would You Even Want The Labyrinth Set?

Remnant From The Ashes - A Look In The In-Game Menu At The Set Bonus For The Labyrinth Armor

At the end of the day, is the Labyrinth Set really worth all this re-rolling of the Corsus Realm? Most, if not all of the player base would agree that it absolutely is, especially with how easy co-op makes the game.

To be blunt, it's worth it because the Armor Set Bonus is fantastic as it Increases all Weapon Mod damage and refunds ten percent of the Weapon Mod’s Mod Power on use. That refund is always granted even when one piece is worn, but the Total Damage buff depends on how much of the Labyrinth Armor you're wearing:

  • With one piece of the Labyrinth Armor worn, the Weapon Mod damage is buffed by 15 percent
  • At two pieces, 30 percent
  • And for the full set, it’s a 50 percent damage buff.

Originally, this set also suctioned up all the Scrap and Iron around you as well, but this was removed and given to the Scavenger's Set in the Subject 2923 DLC. Still even after this "nerf," the Labyrinth Set's Weapon Mod bonus is too good, especially for Survival Mode. And the Resistances this set gives are pretty good as well.
