Renegade Game Studios has unveiled its lineup of tabletop RPG modules which will be available for this years’ Free RPG Day. The three modules will be available for free at your friendly local game store (FLGS) this coming July 25th.
Renegade has teamed with tabletop RPG publishers Hunters Entertainment and Oni Games to offer three free games: Overlight: The Lost Spire of Tziuhquatl, Kids on Brooms, and Junior Braves Survival Guide to the Apocalypse Quickstart Guide.
As of this writing, Free RPG Day 2020 is still scheduled for July 25th. However, with the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the event is highly susceptible to being changed or even canceled. In fact, the event was rescheduled for the current date back on May 1st of this year. You can follow Free RPG Day on Twitter for the latest news and other announcements. Also, be sure to check in with your FLGS to see if they will have copies of these free RPG modules on the event day.
In The Lost Spire of Tziuhquatl, players are faced with a mysterious challenge that involves saving the life of an NPC who is personally important to them. Overlight “is a fantasy roleplaying game of kaleidoscopic journeys: a visceral, dangerous, and brightly-colored setting.” This module includes the Overlight Quick Start Rules for players unfamiliar with the Overlight RPG.
Kids on Brooms is a new upcoming tabletop RPG based on the Kids on Bikes system. Kids on Brooms will allow players to become a student witch or wizard at a prestigious school of magic full of secrets, mystery, and enchanting adventure. Kids on Brooms is scheduled to be released on July 22nd, three days before Free RPG Day.
The Junior Braves Survival Guide to the Apocalypse tabletop RPG launched earlier this year, and is based on the graphic novels of the same name by Michael Tanner, Greg Smith, and Zach Lehner. The RPG also uses the Kids on Bikes game engine. This module includes quickstart rules and a short ready-to-play scenario.
Overlight and Junior Braves Survival Guide to the Apocalypse are available for purchase on the Renegade Game Studios store. Kids on Brooms will also be available when it launches, and is currently available for preorder, with a free PDF copy included.
