With the Resident Evil 3 Remake demo pretty much out, and the main game less than a month away, newcomers will be able to dive into a classic game in a brand new way. As such, Capcom has released a short recap trailer for the game in order to introduce the story and the events for newcomers, and help them understand what is going on.

The trailer shows a recap of some of the events that span across the first Resident Evil games. From the Spencer mansion all the way to the outbreak within Raccoon City's limits, the trailer aims to bring newcomers up to date about what is going on and what they can expect once they dive into Resident Evil 3 Remake. Even if a fan of the series has already played some of the Resident Evil games, the trailer can still be seen as a memory refresh for them.

One important thing that is worth mentioning is the timeline of Resident Evil 3 Remake. Although the game is technically a sequel to Resident Evil 2, some of the events in Resident Evil 3 Remake take place before the events in Resident Evil 2. In other words, the game is mostly a prequel to Resident Evil 2, and tells the story before Leon and Claire enter Raccoon City.

Additionally, it's safe to say that Resident Evil 3 Remake will follow in the same footsteps of the original version, but will feature a few key differences. For example, in the remake, players will be able to explore more of Raccoon City than in the original, which in return will offer new and more areas to discover. On top of that, Capcom has promised to make some of the lesser-known characters more interesting this time around, as well as make Nemesis far more dangerous, unpredictable, and essentially a bigger threat than he was in the original game.

Resident Evil 3 Remake will release on April 3, 2020 for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC and will be bundled with Resident Evil Resistance - a 1 vs 4 multiplayer experience.
