If you’re a hardcore Resident Evil 8 Village player, then you will have been plugging away at the Mercenaries mode since you finished the game. The Mercenaries mode is a classic Resident Evil bonus game, and as always, there’s a whole host of different rewards for you to collect, if you’re able to get enough points.
If you need help getting more points in each of the Mercenaries stages we’ve got a bunch of tips right here, but in this guide we’re going to break down exactly how many points you need to clear each rank, and what rewards you’ll earn along the way. All Mercenaries Rank Rewards In RE8 Village
Every time you manage to hit a new rank on a Mercenaries mode stage, you’ll unlock a brand new bonus. That might be another new stage, or it could be a brand new upgrade to obtain through the Blue Orbs scattered throughout Mercenaries stages. There are eight stages in total, and they go up to SSS rank - though there is no benefit in obtaining a rank above SS.

The final stage, The Mad Village 2, does not offer any specific rewards for completing the individual ranks, however, obtaining an SS Rank on each stage is necessary to unlock the LZ Answerer - that includes the secondary versions of each stage. Definitely focus on the first four stages first, so you can obtain all of the bonus abilities, which will help you get those bigger scores.
All Mercenaries Score Targets In RE8 Village
Now you know what ranks you need to aim for, now you need to understand what scores those ranks require. Getting a high score in the Mercenaries mode is tough. The first thing you’ll need to do is map out a route of the stage which makes it easiest to shoot each and every monster, and then you’ll need to calculate which monsters you should leave behind to secure your combo when backtracking, and which must be eliminated immediately.

As you can see, the scores you’re being asked for on the sequel stages is much lower - which is good, because these stages tend to be much tougher, too, and you won’t be getting any Lei bonuses for hitting the low ranks.
