Capcom has also announced that Resident Evil Village will be completely playable in VR exclusively on the new PSVR 2. Resident Evil fans will know that Resident Evil 7: Biohazard was one of the first VR games to fully make use of the original PSVR system, and now fans can finally experience the terrors of House Beneviento in a whole new way.

Unfortunately, we didn't get a date for when VR support is actually coming to Resident Evil Village, mainly because Sony has yet to announce a release date for the PSVR 2 itself, but it's possible that it could drop on the same day the console itself drops, whenever that may be.

However, the big news for Resident Evil fans was the reveal of the Resident Evil 4 Remake, which even got a release date. On March 24 next year, players will be able to step into the shoes of Leon Kennedy once again, and the new trailer shows off a darker but seemingly faithful recreation of the original game. Alongside that announcement, Capcom also revealed that a VR version of the game is also in the works for the PSVR 2.

Resident Evil Village wasn't the only game to be getting though, as we also got a further look at Horizon: Call of the Mountain as well in a brand-new gameplay trailer, including combat and some of the big mechanical nasties that players will be going up against. We also got confirmation that the game won't be on rails, and players will be able to explore to their hearts content.

In other Resident Evil Village-related news, the showrunner for the upcoming Resident Evil TV adaptation on Netflix is already planning for season two, and hasn't ruled out the possibility of Lady Dimitrescu making an appearance. In an interview with TheGamer, Andrew Dabb explained that Village is a part of the lore in the new TV show, and if the writers decided they wanted a big vampire lady to star in the second season, Lady Dimitrescu is "an option."
