After more than a month of waiting, we finally know when Returnal will release on PC. PlayStation states that Returnal launches on PC via Steam on February 15."It's a new year and we are that much closer to the PC release of Returnal," wrote Housemarque brand director Mikael Haveri on the PlayStation Blog. "We’re thrilled to reveal that PC players can join Selene on Atropos on February 15, 2023!"Related: Shame Of The Year - Not Spending Enough Time With The PS5’s Best ExclusiveWe've known that Returnal would be getting a PC port for a while now, but it was finally confirmed at The Game Awards back in December. However, details on what new features Returnal would receive for its PC release remained scant, with the only information being preliminary required specs on the game's Steam store listing. A whopping 32 GB of RAM was listed as recommended for a while, although it seems like that requirement has been lightened in the month since that info was released.

The chart listed on the PlayStation Blog now recommends just 16GB of RAM to play Returnal at 1080p and 60fps, although it also recommends at least an Nvidia RTX 2070 Super or a Radeon RX 6700 XT as your video card. Getting up to 4K graphics will definitely require 32 GB of RAM and either an RTX 3080 or a Radeon RX 6800 XT.

Helping things out in the graphics department are both Nvidia's DLSS and AMD's FSR, which both allow you to dial up the graphics without killing your framerate. Keep in mind that both will require relatively newer hardware, so older graphics cards will have to stick to lower graphics settings. There's also support for Ultrawide and Super Ultrawide screens as well as full support for ray-traced reflections and shadows. Expect some superb 3D audio and support for the DualSense controller's adaptive triggers, too.
