Ubisoft has announced one more surprise before Riders Republic's launch on October 28. Anyone interested in a try before you buy deal can participate in a free trial week event starting October 21 — and your progress even carries over should you buy the whole thing later on.

If you aren't quite sold on Riders Republic and everything the title has to offer, it's a great opportunity to dispel any hangups through your own experience. With a whole week of free play, you've got quite a bit of time to try out the upcoming extreme sports experience from Ubisoft Annecy.

However, there's a catch, as you may suspect — your free time with Riders Republic will be limited to four hours only within the trial week event. Still with nothing to lose but your pride, that does like enough time to figure out whether or not you're ready to compete in virtual outdoor sports.

You can access the Riders Republic trial week on all platforms from 9am CEST/12am PST October 21 to October 27. The game will be playable on PC via Epic Games Store or Ubisoft Connect, while the console players will need to redeem the access key when available via the event's official page here. And, naturally, to enjoy the trial, you'll need to download about 23GB of data depending on your platform — so make sure you've got some free space available.

Riders Republic's launch brings its online sporting showdown to PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC on October 28. You can transfer your progress from this free event between different platforms until you're using the same Ubisoft account to access the full game.
