With a new update, Rumble Studios has introduced a new time-limited island with a lot of new ores to mine in Roblox Mining Simulator 2. Sand Ores are the main block in this new area and once in a while, you will come across ores you've never seen before as you dig deeper. Clam Shells is one of these ores.
The mines at the new summer island are already hard for newer players as it is, and if you try to get Clam Shells, it will be even harder since you will be dealing with blocks stacked up to 12,500. On the other hand, this ore gives you 65 event tickets which you can exchange for many things at the shop.
Where To Find Clam Shells
There is a new Summer Fair Island in Mining Simulator 2 for a limited amount of time. But, if you're just starting out in the game, you will not have access to this island as you have to farm a million blocks in total to unlock the area that contains the Spaceship.
Fortunately, the developers had mercy on the players and made it so this island doesn't require a Spaceship upgrade. As soon as you farm a million blocks and unlock Space Travel, you can head over to this island and start digging in the new mine which can be seen on the right side from the spawn location.
The problem with this one is that it doesn't have any checkpoints. The maximum depth of this mine is only around 1,000 meters but the Sand ores at the very top are already stacked up to 7,500. So, if you don't have a good tool and strong pets, it will take you a long time to dig this mine.
Every time you dig a block below you and fall down, you will go one meter deeper into the mine. Clam Shells start spawning around the depth of 350. This means that you will have to go through at least 350 blocks to start finding this ore. Further, the main Sand Ore increases its stack size twice before you reach this depth.
If you're relatively new to the game and don't have access to strong tools yet, the only thing you can do is hop from server to server and try to find one where someone has already dug deep. You can use the path created by them and have a chance of finding these shells.
How To Farm Clam Shells Quickly
Assuming that you have good enough tools and pets to devour through these blocks, this little trick can make life a lot easier for you if you're planning to go on Clam Shells farming run in Mining Simulator 2. If you take the normal route, you'll be digging through numerous blocks to randomly find one block of Clam Shells.
On the other hand, once you reach the required depth, all you have to do is mine any of the blocks on the same level as you and push yourself inside the space created with the new block. Now, zoom your screen all the way out and move it a little to either side, and you should get an overview of the surrounding tiles.
From here, you can simply dig towards any Clam Shells you see and if you're close enough to them, even if they're not in the line of sight of your character, you can still farm them from this overview. This is shown in the picture above as well.
To get more of these shells from one ore, you can enchant your weapon. This can be done by going to your items and then finding your tool. When you click on the tool, you will see enchant and one of them is an Ore Duplicator. The more you enchant this, the more ore you get from one block.
