Crime Boss: Rockay City has been revealed at The Game Awards as a first-person shooter starring actors like Chuck Norris, Michael Rooker, and Vanilla Ice, with a release date of March 28, 2023.

Before the full reveal at The Game Awards, 505 Games previously teased the game with a short live-action clip on Twitter, which showed Michael Madsen entering an office building and asking to give something to Geoff Keighley, calling himself his "biggest fan". That trailer then linked to a site that asked viewers to visit "Rockay City", while showing a city that looks a little bit like Miami.

The description for Crime Boss: Rockay City reveals that it's a "first-person shooter heist game playable solo or with friends from the team at InGame Studios and 505 Games". The description reads, "Set in Rockay City, a thriving, flamboyant metropolis full of towering skyscrapers and sandy beaches, you take on the role of Travis Baker - a man with his sights set on becoming the new King of Rockay City, one crime at a time."

We didn't get too many other details from the trailer, but it's confirmed to take place in the 80s in a city that is very clearly inspired by Miami. It's not long until we find out for ourselves what Rockay City is all about, as it's releasing March 28, 2023.

Before being confirmed as Crime Boss: Rockay City, there were several guesses as to what the city setting was meant to be hinting at. Some thought that the world design looked reminiscent of Sleeping Dogs, while others thought that the fact that 505 Games was publishing it meant that it was likely to be Payday.

As reported by Insider Gaming, the source code for the website also revealed that Crime Boss was going under the codename "Project Care Bear". That still didn't give many details away, but it does at least give us a little bit of a peek into the development behind the game.
