Rocket League is celebrating Women's History Month in a big way, giving all players some free gear and launching a new tournament – Rocket League Goals For Change.

As of today, you can pick up the new Moonpaw Wheels for free in the Item Shop. These were created by Psyonix Prop Artist, Lindsey, and will be free to claim through the weekend. Their design features a wolf howling at the moon, with paw prints around the tread of the tires.

More important than the free gear, however, is the new Rocket League Goals For Change tournament.

"Rocket League Esports is working with Beyond the Summit to put together a casual tournament featuring women from the Rocket League community called Rocket League Goals For Change," Psyonix announced. "We're excited to introduce this new kind of event to give back to the causes that are important to the community."

The event will also include interviews with team captains, along with an interview with Lindsey about her experience working in the gaming industry.

More information about the tournament will be revealed later this month.

Meanwhile, the Women's CarBall Championship (WCBC) wraps up in the coming weeks, with the European Finals taking place on March 6 at 5:30am PST and the North American Finals following on March 13 at 10:30am PST. Psynoix was a sponsor of the event, and you can catch all the action live on Twitch.

Rocket League recently switched to a free-to-play model, dropping its price tag and adding millions of players in the process. Psyonix continues to pump out new content on a regular basis, including the Lucky Lanterns event throughout February. The game has also partnered with popular companies outside the realm of gaming – such as Ford – to bring unique items and events to the thriving community.

Be sure to jump into a few rounds of Rocket League over the weekend and snag a free set of wheels, and check back later this month for more details on the Goals For Change tournament.
