With the holidays quickly approaching, Rocket League is once again gearing up for its annual Frosty Fest seasonal event. The action kicks off on December 16 and gives you a chance to pick up exclusive rewards such as new decals and wheels, among many other cosmetics.

Most of these unique items are unlocked by completing a set of new challenges. The full list is pretty lengthy, but it includes the Ring-a-Ling Wheels, Flannel Paint Finish, "Abominable Throwman" Player Title, and more. Even if you're not interested in the above gear, you can still pick up the Ski-Free Player Banner for free in the Item Shop.

Psyonix is also bringing back Golden Gifts for Frosty Fest 2021. The so-called Challenge for Golden Gifts can be completed up to five times, unlocking rewards from the Zephyr, Elevation, and Vindicator series.

While gifts and rewards are the big draw of Rocket League's Frosty Fest, there are plenty of other holiday-related hijinks going on throughout the end of the year. A snow-filled version of Beckwith Park can now be accessed in Ranked, Casual, and Private matches, and the Winter Breakaway Event will be available from December 16 through December 24. Following its completion, the Spike Rush mode will then run until January 3.

If all that wasn't enough holiday cheer, you can dive into the Item Shop to pick up the Frosty Pack bundle for 1100 Credits, which includes the following cosmetics:

  • Tygris (Crimson Painted)
  • Frostbite Boost (Forest Green Painted)
  • Wonderment Wheels (Crimson Painted)
  • Sub-Zero Goal Explosion (Forest Green Painted)

This should be the last Rocket League update of 2021, as Psyonix is heading out for a much-needed holiday break. The team will return on January 3 – and the latest blog post indicates fans can look forward to "more Rocket League and Rocket League Sideswipe news" in early 2022. So enjoy Frosty Fest while you can, because it sounds like next year is going to be just as busy as 2021.
