Role-playing games are the cinematic experience of the gaming the world. They're the biggest -- often that means the longest too -- and more often than not they're some of our favorite games of all-time. But much like a night scrolling through your Netflix library to find the perfect movie, finding the right RPG for you if tough turkey.

There's just so many RPGs to choose from and most of them look intimidating enough to turn back to Call of Duty or Rocket League for comfort. It doesn't help that RPGs are the most cult-like genre in gaming, mostly because you either love them or avoid them like the Coronavirus. Don't fret, there's one out there for everyone and what better way to figure out than to look toward the Zodiac.

12 Aries (Fallout)

fallout_rpg_zodiac

There's probably no RPG that is easier to get into than the modern Fallout games (3, New Vegas and 4). It's the perfect game to start off our list especially since Aries' are typically eager, dynamic and want something that's more or less streamlined and not too complicated.

We recommend starting off with Fallout 3, despite the relatively recent hate it receives from New Vegas fans. The latest installments being and 76 have slowly abandoned the RPG aspects so definitely give and New Vegas a try first.

11 Taurus (Divinity: Original Sin 2)

divnity_originalsin_zodiac

Like any good bull, Taurus energy is strong and dependent. Taurus tend to be creative as well and if you've ever tried running away from the beasts or perhaps riding one, you know how cheeky they tend to be (as if we can talk from experience). If a bucking bull was a game it'd have to be Divinity: Original Sin 2 (DOS2).

The game appeals to fans of classic RPG's as it's slow paced and focuses heavily on strategy. If you think you can do something in the DOS 2, you probably can. We wish we could elaborate on that more, but we think it's better if you find it out for yourself.

10 Gemini (South Park: The Stick Of Truth)

Fan of the legendary satirical comedy show or not, there were very few that thought South Park: The Stick of Truth would work as well as it did -- heck work really at all. It's a fantastic game and is not only one of the funniest games ever published, but it's also a hell of an RPG.

On the RPG side of things it doesn't break any new ground with its turn-based combat system or class selection but manages to make both feel right at home in the South Park universe. It's the perfect Gemini game in its expressive nature whether that be from choosing its "Jew" class or fighting an aborted Kardashian baby.

9 Cancer (The Elder Scrolls)

elder_scrolls_zodiac

Cancer is the nurturer of the zodiac, a sign that usually indicates that you're compassionate and protective of other people. You're the warm blanket of your friend group and if you want a game that compliments this then look no further than the Elder Scrolls series.

While you're sure to see action along your adventures in the Elder Scroll games, much of your time will be exploring misty dungeons, annoying the village folk and slaying the occasional dragon. We recommend starting with Skyrim or Oblivion and heading back to Morrowind and Daggerfall after.

8 Leo (The Witcher)

witcher3_rpg_zodiac

Leo's are the fiercest of the zodiac, they get after it and often inspire others with their fiery passion. You've accepted that you're the hero of your story and if you want a game that replicates that then go grab yourself The Witcher 3.

The story follows Geralt of Rivia, a monster slayer who's in pursuit of his lost adopted daughter -- and things only get crazier from there. After you finish the third game you owe it to yourself to go back to the other two (and read the books to while you're at it).

7 Virgo (Chrono Trigger)

You can't say anything bad about Chrono Trigger without its loyal fan base coming to its rescue to remind you it's the best game of all time.

The world is massive and feels entirely lived in, combat is very enjoyable and the music -- by god the music -- it's some of the best ever written for a game. It's a great game if you're a Virgo who enjoys a gentle yet invigorating experience.

6 Libra (World Of Warcraft)

We were going back and forth whether to reserve this slot for Blizzard's World of Warcraft (WOW) or DiabloReally either could work if you're a Libra who's most likely social-minded and enjoys cooperation with others. But for now let's just focus on WOW because that's a huge undertaking in itself.

This is the game that put Massively Multiplayer Online games (MMOs) on the map and is still one of the most widely selling games of all-time. WOW only gets better with friends, so lose your life with all of them!

5 Scorpio (Undertale)

undertale_rpg_zodiac

Scorpio's are typically passionate people, stubborn and brave, we might say determined... Sure that last phrase may have no meaning to you if you've never played Toby Fox's Undertale, but then, why haven't you played Undertale?!

Undertale may be one of the funniest games ever released that still manages to be an amazing game on its own right. You play as a lost child who has been thrown into a world of monsters and must fight his way to get out, or does he? Play the game and make every choice like your life depends on it.

4 Sagittarius (Persona)

Unlike a lot of these games that could still be enjoyed by most RPG fans, it should be known upfront that Persona ain't for everyone. You could watch the E3 trailer and more or less know if it's your thing or not. But let us add, that even if you aren't a fan of anime or modern Japanese culture, it's still some of the most fun you'll have in an RPG.

Persona takes the best parts of turn-based RPGs, social simulators and anime-inspired story-lines and mashes them all together into one fantastic game.  Since Sagittarius are optimistic and extroverted we think it's the perfect fit.

3 Capricorn (Final Fantasy)

There are few RPGs or games for that matter that are as classic and as long-spanning as Final FantasyFrom humble beginnings in 1987 when it was nothing more than a cult-classic NES game that only sold well in Japan to a AAA monster that breaks the internet upon major releases.

Final Fantasy has inspired every game on this list whether it be it's revolutionary turn-based combat system or it's legendary characters who were impacted by your every action.

2 Aquarius (Mass Effect)

mass_effect_zodiac

Back when EA and Bioware could seemingly do no wrong, Mass Effect was one of those RPG's that you didn't just like, but loved. The first game was innovative in its own right, but it wasn't until the second game that everyone lost their minds.

It became the Game of Thrones for video games and like Aquarius people it was uncompromising and had a vision that put it above most games at the time. While the first game is a bit dated now, we still recommend starting there and then going on to the legendary second and third game.

1 Pisces (Star Wars: Knights Of The Old Republic)

star_wars_zodiac

Star Wars: Knights of The Old Republic is a cult-classic RPG and the series is responsible for releasing the two best Star Wars games ever put to code -- and that's saying a lot with the OG Battlefronts and Republic Commando.

Star Wars fan or not this is one of the best games of all-time due to its incredible writing and epic story that is full of some of the best twists in gaming. It's a perfect game and if you're a Pisces you'll feel yourself getting attached to its engrossing characters in no time.
