Cyberpunk 2077 will be mostly experienced from a first-person perspective, but that hasn't stopped CD Projekt Red from putting a lot of work into the romantic scenes in the game. A report from a Reddit user who attended a recent Q&A says that all of the knocking boots moments in Cyberpunk 2077 were performed with motion capture.

Video games have had a rough history with their inclusion of love-making scenes, with the games of David Cage portraying coitus in the same manner as someone bashing two action figures together, or Dragon Age: Origins with its clothes-on kissing in the middle of a campsite full of people. CD Projekt Red has performed better than other companies in this regard (so long as you're willing to forget the cards in the original Witcher game), with the second and third Witcher games being praised for having way more care and thought put into their adult scenes than similar moments in other titles.

A Reddit user named shavod put up a post about how they had attended a CD Projekt Red community event in Poland, summarizing all of the major announcements. One of the most striking revelations was that all of the adult scenes in the game had been performed using motion-capture and that they had filmed an amount that would satisfy everyone. The intention was to please the fans who had assumed that the love-making scenes had been cut due to the bulk of the game taking place from a first-person perspective.

It's been clear from the beginning that Cyberpunk 2077 is going for a very adult tone and it's no surprise that the game will include love-making scenes, especially compared to all of the raunchy content that appeared in The Witcher 3. CD Projekt Red reportedly filmed over fifteen hours worth of motion-capture romance scenes for The Witcher 3, which is a lot compared to how much of it actually made its way into the game.

Cyberpunk 2077 will be released for Google Stadia, PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on April 16, 2020.
