A fresh Grand Theft Auto VI rumor hints that its online mode will take place across multiple cities, including Vice City and Liberty City.

Rockstar certainly knows how to make a game, doesn't it? As if the Grand Theft Auto franchise it continues to bestow upon us wasn't enough, it is now building a similar reputation for Red Dead Redemption. Sticking with GTA, can you believe the very first installment in the series was released more than 20 years ago? However, the latest chapter is perhaps the best of all.

Despite GTA V being released in 2013, it continues to be as popular now as it ever has. While its intriguing storyline and gameplay have a lot to do with that, it is the game's online mode that keeps players coming back for more. Rockstar continues to add and alter what takes place in-game online too, in order to keep us all interested.

via Game RantSuffice to say, although we know barely anything about it at present, whenever GTA VI arrives, you can rest assured that it will have a big online component. In fact, a recent rumor hinted at what we can expect when we venture online in GTA VI. A Pastebin post (which has since been deleted) spotted by Game Rant implied that GTA VI online will allow players to travel between cities.

Not just Liberty City and Vice City, which are rumored to be a part of the game upon launch, but others that will be added as time passes. Since the two cities already rumored to be a part of the game are locations from GTA's past, it isn't beyond the realms of possibility that the setting for GTA V will also be included. Perhaps we will even be able to bring the buildings and vehicles we currently own in-game along with us.

We should note that at this point, all of the above is merely rumor and speculation. Rockstar hasn't even revealed that there is going to be a GTA VI, but let's be honest, there will be. We strongly believe that it is already in development and will be released for the next generation of consoles. One thing is certain: Rockstar has set the bar extremely high with GTA V, but we have faith that it can go even higher.
