Rumor: Batman Broods His Way Into Fortnite

Developer Epic Games has become known for including some great collaborations within the game of Fortnite, and the best one yet might be on its way soon, as an apparent Batman collaboration has recently been leaked. Redesigned buildings in the Fortnite point of interest, Tilted Towers, look a lot like ones you'd find in Gotham City, making a possible Batman collaboration very likely to happen.

On top of the Gotham-looking buildings, Batman weapons have also apparently been leaked, giving us images of an explosive batarang and a Batman grapnel gun. Images of a bat signal over Tilted Towers has also surfaced. Knowing Epic, there's a very high chance that we'll be getting some Batman-inspired skins as well, and a Joker skin would likely be a huge hit. A few other leaks were also posted on Reddit, but have since been taken down, which further raises suspicions that this collaboration is most likely happening.

Fortnite has had its fair share of in-game events and collaborations inspired by other pop-culture properties, including a Marvel's Avengers collaboration last year that came out right around the release of the Avengers: Infinity War film. It just so happens that Batman Day lands on September 21, and the new Joker film is set to be released on October 3, so there's a great chance that this collaboration with Fortnite is being used as a marketing tool.

There is also a chance that Epic will include a limited time game mode along with this Batman collaboration, just as they did during the Marvel's Avengers and John Wick events. There are dozens of possibilities that come to mind, but there will most certainly be some type of  "save the day" superhero theme to the mode. Although, they could just go the Infinity War route, where they allowed gamers to play as an overpowered Thanos.

What exactly this event will include is yet to be seen, but it's safe to say that a Batman collaboration has a great chance to be Fortnite's best in-game event yet. Fortnite and Batman are both massively successful properties, and this collaboration will certainly get a lot of people excited.
