E3 is right around the corner. As always, one will find rumors and supposed "leaks" purporting to unveil things that are not meant to be shown early. The latest "leak" comes from 4chan. An anonymous user posted a picture claiming to come from a friend who makes showroom displays.

One thing that needs to be mentioned is that unlike most rumors and "leaks," substantial sites agree on this one. Kotaku, Destructoid, and GameXplain believe the document to be accurate. Destructoid, for example, says, "During the E3 scheduling process, we've received embargoed confirmation of other titles on this list." This is not a confirmation that the list is 100% accurate of course. "Leaks" like this are easy to make up. But, with these sites believing the list to be legitimate, there is a strong case for the picture being true. It's important to not get your hopes up, but rather be cautiously optimistic until the day of E3.

The two biggest titles on this list are arguably Dragon Ball FighterZ and Fortnite. FighterZ released earlier this year to rave reviews. It is the highest rated Dragon Ball game on Metacritic, with a score of 87. It was released for all the current home consoles - except Switch. Why? Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 was ported to the Switch in September, 2017. Thus, it unfortunately didn't make sense to release FighterZ on the Nintendo console right away, because FighterZ came out in January of 2018, four months after Xenoverse 2 was ported to Switch. In July of 2017, the producer of FighterZ, Tomoko Hiroki, told the site ShonenGamez this about a Switch port of the esteemed fighting game:

Tomoko Hiroki: "In terms of the Switch version, we’re currently working on Xenoverse 2 for the Switch, so we want players to first go there, and then we can talk about FighterZ."

Xenoverse 2 has been available on Switch for eight months now. It makes sense that FighterZ would be announced at E3 for Switch, with presumably a release date for later in the year. Kotaku says that a person "familiar with upcoming Switch games" claims that FighterZ "was planned for the system." Meanwhile, Fortnite has been the "big thing" as of late, surpassing Overwatch in online multiplayer popularity. With the Switch getting its online subscription service in September, now would be the time to announce Fortnite for the console. Kotaku also says that a source "familiar with Epic Games' plans" claims that Fortnite was indeed coming to the console.

Some of the games on the list have already been officially announced for the Switch, including Monster Hunter Generations, Starlink: Battle for Atlas, and Mario Tennis Aces. A few of the other games listed would make sense for Nintendo's "smaller" announcements for its console. What's interesting is that besides Mario Tennis Aces, there are no first party Nintendo games listed. However, Super Smash Bros. will have a big presence, and that game is not listed. If this list is accurate, perhaps it is not a complete list. We will know for sure in a little under two weeks.
