A recent job listing provided a few snippets of information on some aspects of the new Avengers game currently in development.

It has been over a week since the worldwide release of Avengers: Endgame and whether you have seen it or not, you are probably sick of hearing about it by now. Actually, who are we kidding? We have basically done nothing but think up theories and breakdown the movie since seeing it last weekend and we still can't get enough. Those who haven't seen it don't worry, you'll find no spoilers here.

While we are going to focus on the future of the Avengers, we mean that in terms of the gaming world rather than the movie one. Considering the ongoing success of the MCU in Hollywood, it would be crazy for game developers not to try and capitalize in some way. Marvel's Spider-Man did that in a major way. Plus, not only was it a great game featuring the youngest Avenger, but Avengers Tower is also in the game.

However, a full Avengers game will not be created by Spider-Man developers Insomniac, Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics have won that race. The companies are currently working on an Avengers game but at this moment in time, we know very little about it. A post by ResetEra, that has since been deleted, has given us our first glimpse into what the game might be like.

Gamerant reports that an apparent job listing described the game as a third-person action adventure title. It also revealed that the game will revolve around "melee combat, cover shooting, stealth sections, and boss fights." That sounds a lot like Spider-Man if you ask us, and that is definitely a good thing.

Other than that, we currently know pretty much nothing about the game. The storyline, the villains, not even which Avengers will be playable characters. However, we might not have much longer to wait. Square Enix will be holding a press conference at this year's E3. We would be very surprised if the developer didn't have something to announce about its imminent Avengers game by then.
