According to a solid insider and Apex Legends content creator TheNeon_Beast, “Titanfall 3 is for real”

TheNeon_Beast proved himself as a reliable Respawn insider after most of his leaks throughout Apex Legends season six came to fruition. He leaked the news on Twitter and followed up the initial leak with, “I’m pretty sure leakers can say the same, cuz we have totally different sources. The good thing is: even with different sources, the rumor is exactly the same.” Other leakers did say the same, as popular data miner and leading Apex Legends leaker Biast12 says, “Yeah, I can confirm that part," in regards to the leak being real. The tweets from both are now deleted.

Respawn denied the existence of a potential Titanfall 3 around the launch of the highly successful Apex Legends back in 2019. Lead producer Drew Mccoy told Eurogamer, "There are some people who think there are too many battle royale games or it's a fad, the world thinks we're making Titanfall 3 and we're not”. The denials of Titanfall 3 are as recent as of May when Respawn co-founder Vince Zampella claimed there was “nothing currently in development.” This means either Zampella lied, or the game was green-lit in the past few months. If the latter is true, it may be a few years before the sequel to the critically acclaimed Titanfall 2 actually sees the light of day.

Prior to the leak, fans had a hard time pinpointing whether or not Titanfall 3 may happen. The launch of Titanfall 2 was met with critical acclaim, but financial disappointment. The game failed to compete with the juggernauts of Battlefield 1 and Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. EA is notorious for abandoning IP that fails to meet their lofty financial goals and fans feared Titanfall would meet the same fate. On the other hand, Respawn became EA’s crown jewel development team in the past few years. Apex Legends and Star War Jedi: Fallen Order are incredibly successful with Apex being one of the three premier Battle Royals and Star Wars receiving critical acclaim and multiple Game of the Year awards. If the leaks are true, EA seems to be abandoning prior philosophies for Respawn.
