Now that the majority of its players are back in-game, RuneScape is doing what it can to make things right following the lengthy Login Lockout debacle. To that end, this week marks the start of Skilling Week – an event that sees a 50% XP boost for all gathering skills.
Skilling Week will run from April 12 to April 19, with all regular accounts earning an extra 50% XP for the following skills:
- Divination
- Farming
- Fishing
- Mining
- Hunting
- Woodcutting
- Archaeology (Screening and excavating only)
Beyond Skilling Week, the rest of April is loaded with events. Combat Week will pick up immediately after Skilling Week, offering several bonuses to combat activities along with reduced death costs. That's followed by D&D&Ds Week, which will offer some sort of boost to Distractions, Diversions, and Dailies.
April ends with the mysterious "Everyone Gets a Wish" event. Details for many of these activities are yet to be announced – although it's clear Jagex is doing what it can to thank players for their patience.
The team is also giving out a bunch of free in-game rewards to players and giving impacted members additional monthly credits. You can check out the extensive list of free swag in this recent post from Jagex.
