Azzanadra's Quest is now playable in RuneScape, kicking off a new chapter of the Elder God Wars storyline. To get started with the new content, head to Burthorpe Castle and speak with Azzanadra in the Council Chamber.

The entire Elder God Wars chapter will be told throughout 2021, as Jagex slowly rolls out new quests and content in the coming months. Azzanadra's Quest is the beginning of it all, which sees you helping him locate the Elder Halls and try to avoid a prophecy of doom and destruction. Here's what Jagex had to say about the new content:

"Azzanadra is... disappointed. It seems that every attempt to defeat, or appease, the Elder Gods has failed - and time is rapidly running out. Seren's Council grows more complacent by the day, and Ariane has received a vision of destruction, devastation, and doom, worse than anything Gielinor has faced before. But the best defense is a good offense, and Azzanadra has a plan. He needs your help to pinpoint the location of the Elder Halls, where the Elder Gods' precious eggs are stored."

There are several high-level requirements to join in on the action, as you'll need the following stats:

  • 70 Divination
  • 58 Archaeology
  • 58 Agility
  • 58 Prayer
  • Completion of the Vault of Shadows miniquest

It's also recommended that you finish the Desperate Measures quest before tackling the new content.

Azzanadra's Quest isn't the only new content this week, as RuneScape also sees the return of Vic the Trader. The merchant deals with Bonus XP items and is willing to offer Credits if you have anything of value. Vic can be found in Burthorpe next to the Yak Track Hub – although he'll be leaving on March 8.

There's a big update for the mobile version of RuneScape as well, although the team is looking for feedback before making any changes permanent.

Outside of the game, Jagex announced the arrival of two RuneScape soundtracks, available in vinyl, CD, and digital formats. One includes tracks from God Wars Dungeon 1 and 2, while the other focuses on Old School Combat tracks composed by Ian Taylor, Adam Bond, and Mod Ash.

RuneScape is available on iOS, Android, and PC.
