September 27 is going to be a big day in the world of Gielinor, as the first-ever skilling boss is heading to RuneScape. The next installment in the Elder God Wars tasks you with slaying Croesus through the use of your Mining, Woodcutting, Hunter, Fishing, and Construction skills – and they won't go down easy.

Jagex said there are no skill or combat requirements needed to enter the fight, although it's recommending you're at least level 80 in all the above abilities. Croesus' attacks will sap your skills – meaning the higher your level, the longer you'll last. Of course, you'll also need to be a RuneScape member to tackle the new content.

Since Croesus is a brand-new type of boss battle, you'll want to take a closer look at how to defeat them before diving into combat. Thankfully, Jagex has you covered – check out the trailer below to see Croesus in action:

"Work as a team and use your skills to remove the fungus from the dead creatures around the edge of the arena," Jagex said of the boss fight. "Once you’ve gathered enough resources and sufficiently weakened Croesus, you can repair the four heroic statues. When they’re restored to their former glory, they’ll shine brightly and fire a cleansing ray of light at the boss.

"This will temporarily subdue Croesus and give you access to the fungal core from which the boss draws the majority of its strength. Hack away at that to weaken Croesus further. After a while, Croesus will go back to guarding the core, so you’ll need to restore another statue to get at it again. Once the fungal core has been completely removed, Croesus will re-enter its dormant state – and you’ll be free to claim your rewards."

Elder God Wars: The Croesus Front heads to RuneScape on September 27.
