Several details pertaining to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare were leaked ahead of Season 2's launch... by the official CoD website itself.

It was made clear that this was by error as the info was taken down quickly, yet not fast enough to escape the internet, more so Charlie Intel.

The website has posted as much, detailing what's to come in the new season, with one of those being the very popular Rust map. Undoubtedly a fan-fave, Rust is considered to be the spiritual successor to Shipment.

Charlie Intel also came upon an AR card showing the location.

Among things leaked was a new Ghost operator skin from Modern Warfare 2. The skin's iconic skull should look even scarier with present-day console and TV specs and, per the information that was spilled alongside, tier 100 is a special version of Ghost donning gear made for desert combat.

Of course, new weapons are on the way too. Two new guns are apparently inbound, namely the GRAU 5.56 and the Striker 45. The former is described as "Lightweight, maneuverable and full of potential." The other has been branded a "hard-hitting and long-range SMG."

Fresh weapon blueprints, inclusive of a western-themed MK2 Carbine, are coming too.

As for the Battle Pass, Season 2 will rid players of 1,000 CP while the Battle Pass Bundle can be had for 2,400 CP.

According to the official website, players can expect upwards of 80 additional items just for playing. Those include XP tokens and watches, among other things.

With Activision having removed the Modern Warfare season pass and loot boxes, they're making more money from the battle pass system. And, as indicated by an image of the Season 2 pass, players will be able to earn up to 1,300 CoD points that could get them the next season's pass for free.

Season 2 will go live tomorrow (February 11).
