Saints Row: The Third is a fantastic game that is loved by fans of the series. It goes even farther away from any serious tones that the series once had. Many of the missions border on insanity, with very few being the type of activities you'd expect to see in a game about hardened criminals.
Despite having some great missions like Insurance Fraud and http://deckers.die, there are a few points in the game that fans seem to hate. Kinzie missions, in particular, are a bit rough to play through. There is also the fact that several missions are reused activities or are just glorified escort missions, which gamers never seem to love.
10 I'm Free-Free Falling
This is one of the first missions in the game and actually takes place a bit into the prologue. While the concept is interesting, it doesn't exactly mean the gameplay itself is fun. Your character jumps off of an airplane and must avoid debris while having a shoot out in mid-air.
This is all incredibly simple to do and is just a tad bit boring at times.
9 Drug Trafficking
This is an activity that has you being driven around by a drug dealer. You get a pre-selected weapon with unlimited ammo that you must use to protect them. At times you get to drive, you have to avoid the cops and keep from blowing the car up, despite the bad AI driving in the game.
This is a mission that is a bit hard to sit through after going through more action-packed segments.
8 Guardian Angel Pierce
This is arguably one of the worst missions in the franchise, according to fans. You are placed in a helicopter that follows Pierce down a pre-set path. You are armed with a rocket launcher to blow up oncoming Morning Star cars before they damage Pierce.
The problem is that the camera angles are awful, and the rockets are horribly inaccurate.
7 Snatch
This is an activity about gathering ladies of the night for Zimos. You have to find an recruit these women while dealing with rival gangs. You have to find the girls, recruit them, and then safely deliver them to the brothel, which can be a bit boring.
It's an escort mission, but with a bit of hide-and-seek added in to try and mix things up.
6 Escort
The premise of this mission is hilarious, the gameplay not so much. You must pick-up clients wishing to spend time with ladies of the night and then drive them around. There is a pleasure meter that must be filled, but you have the paparazzi who will chase you around.
As mentioned above, the driving AI can be horrible, making this mission tedious.
5 Cyber Blazing
This is just a reskinned Trail Blazing activity and is used as a way to hack into the Deckers network. You get on a motorcycle and must race around a pre-determined course while avoiding firewalls and hitting members of the decker gang.
This is all while minding a timer that can go up or down depending on your driving and what you end up smashing into.
4 Heli Assault
This activity disguised as a mission puts you in control of a helicopter. You have to fly around and follow homies that are dealing drugs. You also must shoot at enemies trying to intercept the deal to keep from failing the mission. You have to also mind how far away you get from the cars.
This, like any air mission, can be annoying to control.
3 Ho Traffic
This is another reskinned activity, only this time it takes the formula for drug trafficking. In this mission, you have to pick up ladies of the night and protect them while they meet with clients. Like in the original mission, you have one car and are chased around by the cops and rival gangs.
If your car blows up, then it's game over, and you must start again.
2 Guardian Angel Kinzie
If one guardian angel activity wasn't enough, then you will be happy to know the game gives you a similar mission, but with Kinzie. Just like with Pierce, you are forced into a helicopter and must protect Kinzie from above while she drives around gathering data.
The camera angles are still bad, and it's still hard to hit enemy cars or have your hits register.
1 Stop All the Downloading
In this mission, you must physically drive Kinsie around to a few locations for her to hack into the Deckers network. Once you get there, she will get out, and you must defend her from an onslaught of gang members. This can be a bit annoying as Kinzie is slow with her hacking.
The second half of the mission is a bit fun, as long as you can successfully make it through the first part.
