If you aren’t yet familiar with Scarlet Nexus, it is an upcoming action JRPG. The game is centered around Yuito Sumeragi, whose goal is to become an elite psionic (person with extra-sensory powers), because one of them saved him back when he was a child. Yuito is a very positive and kind soul who hopes to make a difference in this world through his extra abilities.

A special hormone was discovered in the human brain that allows for certain people to be able to use extra-sensory abilities, such as telekinesis. Given the fact that the Others have descended from an unknown origin and have a thirst for human brains, warriors (psionics) must rise up and protect everyone by using these special abilities to fight.

The game includes a unique atmosphere that combines a futuristic Japan with Western science fiction. In Scarlet Nexus, you’ll have the opportunity to thoroughly explore this environment. But what makes the game even more appealing is the way that its marketing emphasis is on character and story development. JRPGs tend to have a heavier focus on these aspects of the game, and Scarlet Nexus does not appear set up to disappoint.

As of yesterday, the demo has become available for Scarlet Nexus on the PS4 and PS5, so you can decide yourself if this is a game worth investing in. Scarlet Nexus is developed by Bandai Namco Studios, and it is set to be officially released on June 25, 2021.

One of the next big events coming up for Bandai Namco includes E3 2021, which will take place virtually between the dates of June 12 through June 15. Bandai Namco has a history of announcing licensed anime titles, and they also have some outstanding games to be published, so we’re likely to hear some big announcements. Bandai Namco also has Bandai Namco Next premiering on June 3 this year, which is supposed to be the equivalent of the Nintendo Direct or State of Play events.
