So much happened at the Game Awards that it can be hard to keep up, but we were sure to note the new trailer for Scarlet Nexus from Bandai Namco and its new release window for the summer of 2021.
Originally set to be released in December of next year, the latest trailer provides us with a fresh look at how Scarlet Nexus is coming along. An ARPG set in the near future where humans have developed psionic powers, the player has the choice of whether they want to control Yuito Sumeragi or Kasane Randall. Both are members of the Other Suppression Force, a military organization filled with youths trained to combat “Others”--basically scary mutant monsters that want to eat human brains.
Conventional weapons are useless against Others, so it comes down to crazy psychic powers and fancy-lookin’ swords to do the job. Expect Scarlet Nexus to deliver on a promise of slick action and a mind-blowing plot from the same folks that gave us Tales of Vesperia.
Scarlet Nexus will release on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC in the summer of 2021.
