William "Scarra" Li, a prominent League of Legends player, Twitch streamer, and founding member of OfflineTV, offered a mature take on the recent drama that has plagued his streaming house. For those unfamiliar, OfflineTV is one of Twitch's most popular streaming conglomerates, containing many well-known content creators such as Pokimane, Disguised Toast, and LilyPichu.
This past weekend, OfflineTV experienced a wave of Twitter-fueled controversy surrounding an alleged falling-out between some of its members. The starting point can be traced back to a cryptic tweet from Pokimane, calling out an unnamed individual.
This tweet seemed to be the first of many from OfflineTV members that indicated troubled waters, with other personalities such as Edisonparklive, HasanAbi, Ckalvin, Destiny, and Fedmyster chiming in with a maze of likes, tweets, retweets, and sub-tweets.
As expected, the internet went full-out detective-mode on the situation and deduced that there was drama between members, specifically between former couple LilyPichu and SleightlyMusical. Eventually, word spread about the drama and Scarra's chat prompted him to address the situation, which he did, reluctantly.
In the clip, Scarra made sure to emphasize his disappointment in the negative assumptions from certain users. He also stressed that he doesn't feel that it is his place to reveal details about others, specifically when they have not made official statements themselves. Lastly, he advised his audience to avoid stirring up drama and to wait for more details to come out – ending things positively by wishing everyone a good day.
What he had to say was very mature, earning him the respect of multiple Twitch and Reddit users; The most upvoted comment (with over 2,200 points) on the clip's Reddit post was made by "demyxrulz," who wrote, "This is one of the reasons why [Scarra is] still one of the most liked people in this scene. This man will never ever be in a negative spotlight."
While it remains to be confirmed, many believe that SleightlyMusical was unfaithful in his relationship with LilyPichu, leading to their separation. Supposedly, he and another musically-inclined streamer, Avocadopeeled, hid their relationship by communicating through a shared Google document. Either way, what we do know is that LilyPichu decided to make a short statement confirming the breakup through her Twitter account, adding that she has not been feeling her best lately.
The best thing does seem to be what Scarra advised; Taking sides and trying to pit people against each other is common temptation when drama springs up, but the best course of action has always been to simply wait for all of the details before jumping to conclusions.
