Scopely – the company behind Scrabble GO, Star Trek Fleet Command, and Marvel Strike Force – announced Ben Webley as its new Chief Marketing Officer. Prior to joining Scopely, Webley oversaw global marketing for the games division of Facebook and held leadership roles at both Zynga and Electronic Arts.

"We felt it was important to have a leader with a holistic view and hyper-focus on connecting players with our games as we embark on our next phase as an organization," said Tim O'Brien, Chief Revenue Officer at Scopely. "Ben brings deep experience in gaming and mobile advertising as well as shares the same entrepreneurial mindset and orientation towards excellence that Scopely is built upon."

Webley has deep experience in the world of marketing, having spent more than seven years working on global strategy and performance analysis at EA. He then moved on to do much the same at Zynga, eventually becoming the Senior VP of Ad Monetization & Business Operations.

After more than five years at Zynga, Webley left for Facebook, where he took up the mantle of Director of Marketing Solutions for Gaming. It'll be interesting to see how he guides Scopely in the future and continues the impressive growth the company experienced during 2020.
