CEO of Ebb Software Ljubomir Peklar apologized for the "poorly judged" tone of the recent Scorn update labelled "hostile" by the community. The studio announced deep-dive updates on the development process on a monthly basis starting from December.

Following the latest message, hundreds of Scorn backers began to ask for a refund saying that the devs act unprofessionally. The studio was quick to react to the frustration and released its official response. Scorn creative director Ljubomir Peklar said that they take full responsibility for the latest update while they personally apologized for it. According to the CEO, "the hostile tone it was written in should not be how the team should express ideas or plans" to its backers.

"Our update was poorly judged and the tone was not fair for a community that has backed us from the earliest point and supported the project. I sincerely hope you can accept my apology," Peklar stated. He continues to say the studio "has failed in keeping the Kickstarter community updated over this past year" and is hugely grateful to everyone who has been patiently waiting for any news.

Ebb Software Is Developing Scorn For PC And Xbox Series X|S

As part of Ebb Software's commitment to improving things, the team will be offering monthly developer deep-dives for the project, including development progress updates, sneak peeks of in-game assets, and more. The first update is expected to go live this December. The team will share more Scorn trailers soon as the game moves towards the 2022 release date across PC and Xbox Series X|S.

Finally, Ljubomir Peklar said Ebb Software grew from 20 to 56 people during the last year. While the team is working slower than they'd hoped, "the progress is promising and the experience is coming together well."

The community reacted positively to the CEO's response and appreciated the announced steps to ensure better two-way communication. Players said they never really asked for major regular info dumps that could distract the team from their work — just quick text confirmation that things were even happening would be enough. Instead, Ebb Software went completely silent for over a year, which is not a good sign for the backers.

Hopefully, with the whole situation being quickly addressed, the fans will get more Scorn details on December 10.
