San Diego Comic-Con International runs from Thursday, July 18th through to Sunday, July 21st at the San Diego Convention Center. The schedules are now being released, so attendees can start planning out which panels they want to try and see. Here are some of the highlights for gamers and budding game creators on Saturday, July 20th.

Creating a Believable World in Life Is Strange 2 - 12:30pm – 1:30pm

This panel includes the co-creative directors and lead writer of the Life Is Strange franchise. They will give gamers an in-depth look at the backstory, narrative, and some of the research involved in creating the game's characters and events. There’s also the promise of a sneak peek at the next chapter!

A Fireside Chat with Cuphead's Creators: Chad and Jared Moldenhauer - 4:30pm – 5:30pm

The creators of Cuphead discuss their inspirations behind the game, the cultural phenomenon it has become, and give fans some insight into the future of the franchise. This chat is moderated by C.J. Kettler, the current president of King Features.

Hideo Kojima: Master Storyteller - 5:15pm - 6:15pm

Hideo Kojima will talk about his role as a game director and storyteller - with a special focus on his upcoming PlayStation 4 exclusive, Death Stranding. It is moderated by The Game Awards creator Geoff Keighley, and features director Nicolas Winding Refn (Drive, The Neon Demon) as a special guest.

Meet the Story Innovators of Multi-Branching Games - 7:00pm - 8:00pm

This panel discusses behind the scenes of some of the biggest multi-branching narrative franchises around. Featuring people involved with The Walking Dead, Detroit: Become Human, Until Dawn, Life Is Strange and Aggretsuko. The panel will do a deep dive into every step of the development process, from writing to motion capture to production, as well as giving the creators a chance to share their personal stories.

Those who are seeking a path into the gaming industry will want to head over to the Santa Rosa Room, Marriot Marquis San Diego Marina, where several events will be running through the day.

The Game Pitch Review Panel - 10:30am – 12:00pm

Aspiring game developers have the chance to pitch their ideas to seasoned industry professionals, who will give them unique insights into how their make their dream game a reality. Sign up for this unique opportunity will begin at 10:00am. There are six spaces available, and participants must have a fully prepared 3-5 minute pitch.

Gaming Creator Connection Event - 1:00pm – 3:00pm

Game developers will be able to receive expert guidance in art and design, as well as narrative and business. This opportunity is perfect for both would-be developers or people currently employed in the industry. Participants will have approximately 15-20 minutes to speak to a mentor, and will be able to rotate between mentors.

Rockstar Games - 3:30pm – 4:30pm

Later, the same room will be occupied by Rockstar Games, who are hiring illustrators, graphic and conceptual artists. Creatives at Comic-Con have the chance to share their C.V. and portfolio with the pedigreed developer, and the opportunity to discuss potential careers with the studio.

Game as a Pro 3.0 - 5:30pm – 6:30pm

This panel takes place in Room 5AB, and is for anyone interested in a career in the game industry. Here, representatives from Dell, Team Liquid, Axiomatic and more will discuss how to make your video gaming career dreams come true, whether you want to be the next Shroud or work on the next gaming blockbuster.
