Warner Bros. has released the trailer for The Flash season 6. The show's most recent season concluded in May, and brought back Reverse Flash.

A lot took place in The Flash season 5. Nora, Barry's daughter from the future, arrived in the present to help the team defeat a villain called Cicada. It was later revealed that Nora was in contact with Reverse Flash/Eobard Thawne. Unbeknownst to her, Thawne was actually manipulating her so he could escape his death sentence. In the final episode, Thawne escapes, telling Barry, "See you in our next crisis." This is most likely referring to the big Arrowverse crossover this fall, Crises on Infinite Earths. Anticipation for season 6 is high. Now, fans of The Flash can see footage of the upcoming season.

During The Flash's panel at Comic-Con, Warner Bros. unveiled the trailer for the show's sixth season. Although not much was seemingly showed for Crisis on Infinite Earths, the footage introduces the main antagonist for the first half of the season, Bloodwork. Check out the trailer below.

Bloodwork is being portrayed by Sendhil Ramamurthy. The character is a recent comic creation, and is one of the more unique opponents Flash has faced. The character is able to control the blood of others. How that will translate to live action remains to be seen. According to TVLine, Bloodwork will serve as the primary antagonist for the first half of the season. So, it looks like someone else will emerge as the main antagonist for the second half. Who that is remains a mystery, but Godspeed was spotted in set photos taken by Hollywood.buzz.

There were certainly quality aspects of The Flash season 5, but there was also plenty of criticism. Cicada may have been the worst-received villain in the show. The plot severely dragged on, mainly because the writing kept having Cicada escape. Based on the trailer, Bloodwork is already sounding like a more compelling character. A smart development Season 5 had was bringing back Thawne, giving viewers a very satisfying season finale. It also set the stage for Crisis on Infinite Earths, an event the show has been building towards since the first season. Fans have a lot to look forward to in season 6.
