It is also important that every crew member is ready to fight the Kraken, and the fight should not be willfully entered unless every member of the team is present. Many players try to fight these Krakens before the ship is actually prepared, and this is a major mistake that will result in a loss.
9 Repair Holes On The First Floor Of The Ship
A lot of players don't repair the holes in the first floor of the ship if they are sailing on a galleon because they don't think that it is necessary in the immediate moment.
However, it is always important to remember to be repairing every hole that is on the ship regardless of which level of the boat it is on. It may not seem like a hole is currently causing problems for the ship; however, it will come back to haunt the player if they ignore holes that the Kraken has made on the higher levels of their ship.

Players can use game chat to call out to other players that are sailing on other ships, and they can team up to easily defeat the Kraken because there will be more guns present for the fight.
Having two ships to distract the Kraken is great, and players will find that they have a much easier fight ahead of them if there is more than one boat present during the battle.
7 Use The Sniper To Damage The Kraken
Many players have their blunderbuss out when fighting Krakens; however, what should be used is the sniper weapon. This weapon is able to hit Krakens more easily than any other gun because it will zoom into the enemy's tentacles.
The Kraken can sometimes be hard to hit with the other weapons because the ship may not be very close to the enemy, and as such, fans should immediately equip the sniper if they are planning to enter into a fight with a Kraken or if they have just entered one.
6 Have Gunpowder Barrels Ready
Gunpowder barrels do a massive amount of damage to every type of enemy, and Krakens are no exception to this rule. Players will find that using gunpowder barrels is one of the best ways to defeat ships with little effort, and the best way to utilize them is for one player to jump off the ship and swim towards the Kraken with a gunpowder barrel.
Gunpowder barrels can be most easily obtained from skull forts, and fans should find plenty of them there for fighting a Kraken. Although it may be difficult to get close to the Kraken with a gunpowder barrel, it is definitely worth it for players that want to defeat one for a commendation.
5 Never Face A Kraken Alone
Krakens are tough creatures, and facing one alone, especially on a sloop, will result in death very quickly. This is because one person cannot take down a Kraken alone most of the time because they have so much health and will kill players swiftly.
Players should bring friends to face a Kraken and, as previously mentioned, team up with other ships that may be in the vicinity. Generally, it is best to fight Krakens while on a galleon with a full crew.
4 Keep 5 Pieces Of Food At All Times
Players can keep a total of 5 pieces of food on their character at all times, and that is the exact amount that players should have on them at all times.
A lot of players completely forget to get more food from the barrel in the heat of battle; however, this is a major mistake, and players need to constantly be eating food because of how much damage the Kraken will surely be dealing to their health.
3 Retreat When The Crew Runs Out Of Wood Planks
If the ship runs out of wooden planks, then players should attempt to retreat and leave the Kraken fight. Players should never stay in a Kraken fight, even if they believe that they are about to defeat it if they're out of wooden planks.
The main reason behind this is that wooden planks are the sustenance of the ship, and without them, players will not be able to repair the holes that the Kraken may leave after attacking. It is also worthwhile to note that players should not be waiting until the final wood plank is gone to flee, players should attempt to leave the fight after they are down to the last 15 planks.
2 When Sucked In By The Kraken, Focus On Getting Back To The Ship
Getting back to the ship is crucial after being sucked in by the Kraken's tentacles because otherwise, players will be in the water where they will probably have trouble seeing, and they could potentially be attacked by a shark.
This may seem somewhat obvious, but a lot of players attempt to use their sword to attack the Kraken while in the water, and the player will be able to deal much more damage if they use guns or cannons on the ship instead. After being sucked in by the Kraken, players need to swim back to the ship immediately.

Many seasoned players may already know this; however, for beginners, they should not be using their guns if they have cannonballs to fire at the Kraken instead.
It is easy to forget that the best way to damage a Kraken is by using the cannons on the ship and that will deal the most damage, even if it is somewhat harder to aim while the ship is shaking. Players should shoot at one tentacle with cannonballs until that specific one is defeated, they should then move on to the next tentacle. Always use cannons before attempting to use any other kind of weapon to attack the Kraken for the most efficient damage dealing.
