Nintendo has just announced plans to open its second real-life store in Japan. Nintendo Osaka will open sometime in 2022 at the Daimaru Umeda Store in Osaka.

Nintendo’s first store opened in Shibuya, Tokyo in November 2019 and quickly became a popular designation, resulting in some pretty enormous wait times. Those wait times finally died down with the pandemic forcing the store to close, but it's back open now and you can expect the store to be rammed between noon and 4 PM local time, according to Google.

As for the new store, Nintendo didn’t offer any details on their Osaka location other than a general time frame. According to Japan.com, Daimaru Umeda Department Store is a "city center department store specializing in luxury brands,” including names like Prada, Jimmy Choo, and Gucci.

If we had to guess, it’ll have the same sort of Nintendo kitsch you can already order online, but it’ll be in a nice store with a big statue of Mario in the center.
