Well, the proverbial cat is out of the bag. Earlier this week, Sega released a teaser video for an upcoming project. While the teaser doesn’t offer a lot of information on what to expect from the game, another video posted first revealed everything. That’s right, someone at Sega got a little too eager to share the news.

Originally spotted by the folks at Gematsu (thanks VGC), someone accidentally posted the full reveal video to Sega’s YouTube channel. While everything was meant to be unveiled during a showcase event this Friday, you do not have to wait to uncover everything about the game. This includes the game’s creators, title, and other such information. Even though the full video was quickly pulled, we all know everything lives forever on the Internet.

The now-removed video disclosed that the title will be a mobile game called 404 Game Re:Set. It is a collaboration between Sega and Nier director Yoko Taro and will be available on both iOS and Android devices. To get a more in depth look at the game, you can still catch the event showcase on YouTube later this week.

The teaser trailer, while not as full of information as the other video, is a fun, albeit cryptic, look at the game. It kicks off with a falling mobile phone where all the apps are Sega logos. As the phone hits the ground and shatters, the phrases “Create a brighter future” and “Kill Sega” appear. Then we are shown different major cities across the globe like Tokyo and New York. Finally, it cuts back to the phone on the ground as a message reads, “2.10.2023 The World Will Change”.

It is a fun teaser and what we have come to expect from upcoming game announcements these days. While we know a lot more than Sega would probably want us to, it is still worth checking out the announcement on Friday to see exactly what Re:Set is all about.
