Microsoft has announced that it will be giving away a custom Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice edition of the Xbox One. The console will be a limited edition, but there's no information as of now on if it will be released for sale.
Fans have a chance of wining the custom console by retweeting this tweet from the Xbox official Twitter. Unfortunately, the giveaway is only available to residents of the United States who are 18 or older, and ends tomorrow, March 24 at 11:59 PM. If you enter, make sure you read the rules so you don't lose your chance to be the Grand Prize Winner and get a custom console, along with a free copy of Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice.
Much like the limited edition custom Sekiro PS4, the Sekiro Xbox One features gorgeous wood grain, a matching controller, and Japanese details. As one comment on the giveaway put it, the console "looks handcrafted and probably smells like fine mahogany." According to the official Xbox Twitter account, the limited edition console has a retail value of about $500.
However, the Sekiro Xbox also has some unique features, including a small model katana on the top. There's no information on whether or not the katana will be functional, but it's most likely just decoration. A very, very badass decoration.
Another similarity between the two consoles is that they are both very difficult to get. Like the Sekiro Xbox, the Sekiro PS4 was only available through Dutch store Game Mania. Those who preordered Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice through the store had a chance to win the custom console, and were notified via the color of a pair of chopsticks bundled with their order.
For those who can't live without a custom Sekiro console, there's always Ebay, although you might have to wait a while for a product whose price has been greatly inflated.
Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is the much-anticipated new release from From Software, the developer behind the critically-acclaimed Dark Souls series and Bloodborne. The game has only been out for a day, but has already earned a serious amount of fan hype, as well as overwhelmingly positive reviews. The game has a Metacritic score of 91 for the PC version, an 89 on PS4, and 92 on Xbox.
