There are some things you can always count on in gaming. There will be another Madden every year. Nintendo will do something amazing and innovative, only to follow it up with something stupid and backwards. And Senran Kagura will always be here to give us ninja waifus in questionably revealing situations. Well it turns out the reliable and scantily-clad ninja girls are getting some new friends. New friends who jet ski.

Marvelous Entertainment are the folks behind Senran Kagura, and they announced a new game called Kandagawa Jet Girls. It will release on January 16, 2020 for PlayStation 4, reports Twinfinite. It takes place in some futuristic version of Tokyo where jet ski racing is apparently all the rage. One girl drives while another one sits in the back and shoots water guns. Oh, and there's tons of customization so you can put your favorite girl in whatever bikini you want. Of course.

Kandagawa Jet Girls will also have an anime, due out October 8. Two of the girls will apparently be game-exclusive, however, so you'll have to invest completely to get the full wealth of content the budding franchise has to offer. And boy is there a lot of content. A limited edition of the game is up for pre-order for 13,800 yen. It'll come in a giant box and have art books, a blu-ray, a soundtrack, and, well, just look at everything:

Remember that this is a brand new series. So for there to be such a costly special edition available at release speaks to some real confidence on the publisher's behalf. Perhaps the fact that the Senran Kagura team is behind this project inspires confidence. Or maybe they just know that busty waifus doing water sports is a sound business decision.

As for the actual gameplay, there will be three modes outside of character customization. Story Mode will tell a separate tale from the anime. Free Mode will just let you race without any strings attached. And Online Mode has you race against up to four players. Pretty basic stuff. Let's be honest, though. No one is pre-ordering this game for the promise of deep gameplay.
