Hal's final mission in Serial Cleaners requires him to rescue wounded mobster Big Joe Battaglia after a botched prison escape. Like many of Hal's missions, the area is full of police who will shoot on sight. While the crime scene is an absolute mess, this is a rescue mission first and foremost - the goal is to rescue Big Joe, not to remove every piece of evidence.
Brooklyn Bridge is one of the most straightforward missions in the game, but the many obstacles and aggressive enemies can lead to challenges. Here's how to complete the mission without being taken out.
How To Reach Big Joe
Make your way forward, staying crouched to remain hidden behind the squad cars. The first cop maintains a tight patrol over the entrance; wait until he's facing away, then approach the body on the right side. Since the cop is already at maximum alertness, you can't make him faint. Instead, bring the body back to the car, cut it up, then throw a limb at the cop to knock him out. You can stash him in the trunk of a car to the left.
You don't need to dispose of bodies or blood in the first part of the mission; all that matters is getting to Big Joe.
Keep the limb and move forward, then throw it at the next cop to neutralize him as well. He can be locked in another trunk just ahead and to the right. The shortest route is blocked by wooden slats; you can saw through them, but to do so you'll need to put the unconscious cop down. Since that risks waking him up, it's better to go around to the left.
Once the cops near your starting position are dealt with, saw through the door on the left to reach the other lane of the bridge. There's only one cop on that side, making it a much safer path.
At the next crossover, use the ladder to reach the bridge's upper level. Chainsaw through the barrier when the cop below is out of range - otherwise he'll hear you and look up. Beyond is ladder leading back down - ignore it and move as far forward as you can. Cut up the body you find and toss the limbs down to street level to give yourself weapons in case you need them.
Once the limbs are on the bridge, jump down and climb the ladder onto the van ahead of you. The armed mobsters beyond have gun icons over their heads, but don't worry - they're on your side. Approach Big Joe to trigger a cutscene, then pick him up and start bringing him toward the getaway car. The mobsters will engage the cops, providing cover for your escape.
How To Escape With Big Joe
When the mobsters take up their next position after the first firefight, put Joe down behind their line and make your way to the phone booth indicated by the objective icon. On your left is the ladder you passed before; climb up to the second level and move south to use the phone and call for backup.
Retrieve Big Joe and carry him to the opposite lane using the same passage that held the ladder. From here, you can retrace your original path until you reach the mob's getaway car; it's just past the first crossover you used at the beginning of the mission.
How To Clear The Crime Scene
Once Big Joe is secured, you'll need to remove all evidence, as well as the bodies of any mobsters who died in the shootout. Civilian and police bodies don't need to be removed in this mission. From Joe's getaway car, cross to the other side of the bridge. To the right of the car where you locked up the second cop, you'll see a ladder; at the top is an armored vest. Drop it off in Big Joe's van, then continue.
The locations of the dead mobsters will vary based on how the fight went; use Cleaner Sense to quickly locate them. At this point there should only be a few cops left, so evading them should be fairly easy. If one is giving you trouble, you can always throw the other limb from the first body at him to knock him out; there's a third lockup on the right side of the bridge, just past the crash site.
When all the mobster bodies are removed, you can make your getaway by interacting with the driver's seat of Big Joe's car.
