Nightdive Studios, purveyors of classic games, has announced that Shadow Man Remastered will be making its way to PCs on April 15, 2021. Available via Steam, GOG, and the Epic Games Store, players will be able to relive the N64/Dreamcast/PS1 classic with fancy new techs like widescreen, 4K output, and HDR color balancing. A release for last-generation consoles is still coming, though not until later in the year.

As well as the game coming out, Shadow Man creator and comics publisher Valiant Entertainment has revealed that a new installment in the graphic novel series will be hitting store shelves on April 28, 2021. A reboot of the series (which began publication in 1992), you can currently pre-order the first issue from various retailers. Comicbook.com has a preview of some of the new art that this series will feature.

Having never played the original title, I am very interested in finally getting a chance to do so. There is currently a digital version available on Steam and GOG that Nightdive published in 2013, but it seems silly to grab that when the remaster is right around the corner. Considering that all of Nightdive's previous efforts are solid, I have no reason to believe this one will disappoint.

That's especially true of the upcoming System Shock remake, which recently received a new demo. The initial demo was kind of off and felt sluggish, but the latest demo is much more in line with what you'd expect. The bar consistently gets raised by Nightdive and I'm happy the studio continues to republish older titles for new generations.
