In a world filled with advanced technology and actual, factual magic, you'd be forgiven for thinking that slapping ultra-sharp razors onto your arms and using them to shred your foes wouldn't be all that effective. Well, Glory is here to prove you wrong.

Glory is touted as the Combat Medic of the team in Shadowrun: Dragonfall and while that's definitely a role she excels at, there's no denying that the brutal efficiency of her physical attacks in setting up kills is one of her biggest strengths. Once you've felt what a great addition she is to the team, you'll never want to go on a shadowrun without her.

Shadowrun Dragonfall Glory Skills

While you can't level up your party members' stats with Karma as you do your main character, they will become better over time and you do have some say in the matter. These characters will level up after every two shadowruns you complete, and each time they do, you get to choose between two upgrades for them.

Upgrade

Choice A

Choice B

1

Compound Attack: A Razor attack that pierces 1 armor and has a chance of dealing AP damage. Costs 1 AP and has a 2-turn CD.

FirePower Round: A Pistol attack that deals an additional 2 damage and pierces 2 armor. Costs 1 AP and has a 2-turn CD.

2

Upgraded Medkit: Replaces a Basic Medkit with a Premium Medkit.

Upgraded BuMoNa Kit: Replaces a Basic BuMoNa Kit with a BuMoNa Gold Trauma Kit.

3

Fray Armor: A two-hit Razor attack that strips 2 armor from the target with each hit. Costs 2 AP and has a 2-turn CD.

Hail of Bullets: A Pistol attack that can hit up to four enemies at the same time, but has -5% accuracy to compensate. Costs 2 AP and has a 5-turn CD.

4

Adrenal Pump: Increases how long Glory's Adrenal Pump lasts by one round.

Revive: An ability that allows Glory to revive an ally with 25% HP. Has a 5-turn CD which is shared with the normal Adrenal Pump CD.

5

Upgraded BuMoNa Kit: Replaces the BuMoNa Kit that Glory carries with a BuMoNa Platinum Trauma Kit.

Ruger Super Warhawk: Glory now carries a custom Pistol that has armor-piercing ammo. It has 14 DMG, an ammo capacity of 6, and pierces 4 armor.

Unlike the other characters in the game, Glory's skill choices don't really feed into making her a specialist with either of her weapons. Sure, you could ignore the Razors or the Pistol entirely, but Glory's true role in the party will always be related to healing.

This build takes Compound Attack, Upgraded Medkit, Fray Armor, Adrenal Pump, and Ruger Super Warhawk.

This is about as offensive as a Glory build can get. It focuses on improving her melee attacks to the detriment of her Pistol abilities, but that's a good tradeoff. Pistol attacks aren't all that powerful and Glory thrives in being able to flush enemies out of cover with just one strike.

In addition, being able to strip armor is a fantastic ability, far moreso than attacking multiple foes at a time with weak, slightly inaccurate attacks. Especially when the enemies in this game are so good at getting into cover that you'll not be able to hit them critically, which is where most of the damage comes from.

If you're on a higher difficulty, you may want to take Revive instead of Adrenal Pump - for safety - but the extra round of additional AP given by the later upgrade is a significant boost.

Ignoring the BuMoNo kit upgrades is an easy choice - you get quite a lot of extra money in Dragonfall and you can just buy the kits yourself.

Glory's Personal Mission: Should You Get Hearthfire Or Upgraded Claws

Shadowrun Dragonfall Glory's personal mission

Glory's personal mission takes you to Feuerstelle, the place where Glory suffered so much in the past. There are two ways to complete this mission, with different mechanical outcomes for Glory: you can either focus on killing Harrow, or you can make an effort to save the teenage cultists.

  • If you kill Harrow, Glory will receive an upgrade to her Hand Razors, increasing the amount of damage she does with them.
  • If you save the cultists, Glory learns how to use the Hearthfire ability. This is identical to the Heal Wound spell.

Both of these upgrades are great, so you can safely choose the outcome of the quest that suits your roleplay tastes. If you're determined to turn Glory into the most efficient killing machine possible, however, kill Harrow for the sweet damage upgrade. If you find yourself relying on Glory's healing abilities decently often, giving her Hearthfire is also a good shout - more healing options are no bad thing, after all.
