WayForward surprised everyone when it released Shantae and the Seven Sirens as "part one" on Apple Arcade last year. An unprecedented move for the series, people were wondering if this new entry would get further installments to continuously flesh it out. While "part two" is now available, it seems that it will be the only other continuation for this particular game.

On Twitter a few days ago, a fan asked the company if Seven Sirens had any DLC plans. Considering the previous game, Shantae: 1/2 Genie Hero, had a few expansion packs (resulting in an "Ultimate Edition" coming out sometime after launch), the idea was probably that Seven Sirens might be the same. Thankfully, that isn't the case.

Now, that wording doesn't completely rule out any future DLC. At the moment, WayForward is working on getting the console and PC versions out for May. The company is likely full speed ahead on ironing out any last-minute bugs.

If any potential DLC is what was stopping you from buying Seven Sirens, you can rest easy. If DLC does come to fruition, it probably won't be happening for a year or so. That's certainly refreshing, especially in this era of egregious DLC practices.
