If Netflix and Hulu have become stale, you now have an option that is sure to keep you engaged all the way through your viewing. She Sees Red is an interactive film that puts you in control of the story.
The film is similar to an FMV (full motion video) game and has you chasing a serial killer throughout the story, solving clues, and working closer to your goal. This mature thriller is going to require you to make difficult decisions as you lead your protagonist through the tangled web of clues and dead ends that will (hopefully) lead to the capture of the killer.
There are four different endings to the game, so if you would like to reach all of them, you are going to have to make the right series of choices. The game is originally in Russian but does have an English dub so that you don't have to read the entire thing. You can get it now on the Xbox store for $9.99.
The movie is decidedly mature, so if you or your viewing partners aren't interested in blood and violence, this is not the movie for you. However, if you are fans of thrillers and horror films, you're definitely going to want to pick this up. Is the owner of the club the bad guy? Is there something deeper going on here? All of the choices are yours and it will be up to you to decide who is behind the killings.
This high-budget film should be satisfying to those of you who are interested in thrillers. With movie theaters shut down and very little in the way of new movies to watch, this is something that will hit the spot as an end-of-summer movie. As for us, we're going to kick off the weekend by picking this up, grabbing some popcorn and settling in for a night of surprises, and "I told you" so's.
