Shin-chan: Me and the Professor on Summer Vacation -The Endless Seven-Day Journey has a dedicated button that causes Shin-chan to do his iconic butt dance.

A few years ago, a game based on popular manga series Crayon Shin-chan was spotted in a Japanese Nintendo Direct, leading fans of the series to ask for it to be localised. That finally happened last week with the release of Shin-chan: Me and the Professor on Summer Vaction for Switch and Steam, and Shin-chan fans getting their hands on the game for the first time have found a special treat that references one of the manga's most iconic running jokes.

As pointed out by Twitter user alecrobbins, Shin-chan: Me and the Professor on Summer Vacation has a dedicated button that causes Shin-chan to raise his butt in the air and do his iconic dance. Not only that, but as pointed out by a few other Twitter users, this is actually the fastest way of getting around and acts as a sprint button of sorts. Shin-chan speedruns are about to get a little wild, you guys.

Even if you're not overly familiar with Shin-chan, there's a good chance that you've seen this dance on the internet somewhere or other, as it's been turned into a meme over the years and was even a TikTok trend for a little while. For those unaware, Crayon Shin-chan is a popular manga that focuses on the titular five-year-old and his family as they go about their lives, usually interspersed with fantasy elements from Shin-chan's imagination.

Most of the humour from Crayon Shin-chan comes from how rude and inappropriate Shin-chan can be, which is shown by him often taking off his pants and showing his butt while dancing. Me and the Professor on Summer Vacation thankfully doesn't go that far and lets the little guy keep his shorts on but the dance not only appearing in the game but having its own dedicated button is a fun little reference for fans of the original manga.
